UNFORGETTABLE Views of Badin Lake & The Uwharries

Amazing property, beautiful views and an incredibly comfortable home. We hardly left the house because it was such a pleasure to be there. You can really tell how much the hosts care about the home; everything is thoughtfully maintained and welcoming.

Our host was great with communicating and the view was outstanding. The house was very comfortable and cozy hitting on all the conveniences needed.

This is a beautiful, peaceful property. The dock was my favorite place to spend time and fish. The house is clean and cozy. I thoroughly enjoyed staying here. The hosts were super friendly and communicative. I hope i get the chance to go back.

Had a wonderful time at this adorable house! Even with almost daily thunderstorms, we enjoyed our time on the lake and sitting on the screened-in porch. The owners were easy to reach and quick to respond! When the power went out due to a tree falling on a power line, Kay reached out to let us know the estimated time for the power to be restored. (It was earlier than expected!)

The house is much more spacious and secluded than it appears from the road. The trees on each side, and the undeveloped land across the water made it feel super private. All of the furnishings were beyond comfortable and actually made me envious of how I wish my home was decorated! Whenever I could motivate myself enough to get out of the comfy bed or plush couch that overlooks the water, we spent most of our time fishing from the floating dock, in the lake, or the hot tub which was the largest home hot tub I've ever been in. It was a bit too hot for us to enjoy the screened in porch, but it was set up as a perfect extension of the house. We also appreciated all of the outdoor furniture and shade on the dock, as well as towels, marshmallow skewers for the firepit, and supplies in the kitchen.

This is such a beautiful property! We loved kayaking and swimming right off the dock. Russ & Kay’s attention to detail is impeccable. They have thought of everything. If you are looking for a private, relaxing vacation book this place you won’t be disappointed.

This was our 2nd time staying here, we like this place and the lake very much. We went canoeing and fishing.

What a wonderful place, and truly incredible hosts. I came for a writing retreat, and found a home that boasted of its owners care, and warmth. You may never find the exterior tranquility in another vacation home that this home offers. It’s indescribable. But, inside this home are some of the most thoughtful and incredible appointments for their guests. I’ve never rented a property whose owners put so much care into the potential needs of their guests. From how amazingly well-stocked the kitchen was, to the decor and comfort, this is the kind of vacation home you never let get away. I came for the lake, but will return because of the owners, and their lovely home which exudes a welcoming that is one of a kind. I urge anyone in need of rest, relaxation, or a lake boasting of activities, to consider Russ and Kay’s hidden gem. You will be astonished at what awaits.

Awesome property

Nice quiet getaway. Beds were comfortable Kitchen well equipped. Basement has a funky smell. Hot tub is not level. TV is small and dated, DVD didn’t work.

This property is very clean, completely stocked with all the necessities for a week’s stay and was beautifully decorated for the Christmas holidays. The beds were very comfortable and the furniture in the living area are also very comfortable and inviting to enjoy the beautiful lake view. A perfect place to relax and unwind after family and friend holiday celebrations.

Weekdays and off season in this place is so lovely, quiet, and relaxing. Views across the lake are wonderful.

My family and I book a cabin every year for Thanksgiving for the past 8 years. This was hands down our most memorable stay. The view from the rear, well elevated and screened porch is absolutely stunning. We could have slept out there we enjoyed this so much! The home was beautiful and well stocked for all needs! Just book it! The views are AMAZING and the space is perfect. We were there to hit Uwharries OHV trails and they are only about 10 minutes away. We will definitely stay again.

Beautiful view, cozy and inviting, quiet and peaceful place to stay

Traveled from NW PA for a wedding in Albemarle. Location was about 30-40 mins from the wedding venue, Il Bella Gardens. Property was excellent for the 3 of us. Able to enjoy the canoe & kayaks as well as swimming off the dock. My wife loved the screened patio overlooking the lake. Very peaceful & tranquil location. Cottage was very well appointed & the furniture & beds were very comfortable. Really enjoyed the stay & much more comfortable than staying at a near by hotel. Highly recommend.

My husband and his fishing buddy have stayed here multiple times and always have a great time. The house is clean and has everything they could need. The location is convenient and they're able to dock their fishing boat at the house. This year my husband caught his biggest catfish ever from the dock. They will definitely stay here again in the future!
