Stayed Aug 7, 2025We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Check-in was easy. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds were very comfortable. There was plenty of room to spread out and the location was peaceful and quiet. So many extra amenities. We loved this very beautiful and charming property. The house was well lit, well air conditioned, ceiling fans and TV’s in all bedrooms. The large book collection has something for everyone. We wish we could have stayed longer.

Stayed Jul 22, 2025Our family stayed here for our Santa Barbara Vacation. 7 adults, 2 toddlers and 2 small dogs. It has a very different layout with one room having no easy access to a bathroom unless you enter another bedroom or go outside. The air conditioner worked well. The house has a very bohemian vibe. There are lots of outdoor places for little ones to explore. I have never stayed in a home that had this many amenities! There were cast iron skillets, a keurig, coffee machine, electric teapot, coffee grinder and even milk frother. We went to the beach and found 7 beach chairs and 2 umbrellas to bring! The house is also stocked with a dozen eggs, milk, waffle mix for the waffle maker, various coffee beans and teas, syrup and spices. There is also everything you need to roast S'mores outside (skewers, marshmallows, graham crackers and chocolate bars). I communicated with Maya a few times and her responses were always very quick. The house has tons of books (including shelves and shelves of kids books). There are also some board games, toys, a piano and a guitar. Amazing, right? We had a wonderful vacation in Santa Barbara, both inside and outside of the house.

Stayed Jun 13, 2025Wow, super impressed. Maya had THE BEST stocked kitchen we have ever seen. Smores, spices, platters, really everything we needed along with coffee, every kind of coffee maker and a frother(That I loved) The hot tub was fantastic, nice and hot. The front yard fire pit was a hit for later in the evening past 10:00pm. The house was really spectacular, the rooms and decor were right up our alley. I really wish we had more time there and hope to come back someday. We had our daughters graduation from UCSB so the location and size was perfect for 3 couples or 8 people, plenty of room.Thank you for an unforgettable stay. The Bakers, Marin County, Ca

Stayed Nov 1, 2024Maya was super nice and responsive during the booking process and came to say hello shortly after we arrived. The home was well stocked with kitchen supplies and was also very clean. The location was not too far from the main town but far enough away to be very quiet.

Stayed Oct 25, 2024We had an incredible time at Maya's. This home has so much history and the walls in every room, nook, and cranny were adorned with art and quirk. The kitchen was fully stocked which really made us feel at home. It is the little details that really make this home special. We definitely will be booking this home again during future visits.

Stayed Aug 12, 2024This rustic home is an idyllic location to decompress. While somewhat secluded, and just enough off the beaten path to allow you to unwind in peace, it’s also conveniently close to anything you would want or need. Walking distance to the SB Natural History museum and Mission. A short drive to downtown, the beach, zoo, or everything else the area has to offer. Sit in the enclosed front yard in the morning and forget that you’re in a big city, or in the dining room to watch the hummingbirds. Just cannot say enough about the serenity of this place. The home had enough space to allow our party of six adults to spread out and have our own space, yet come together when we wanted. The A/C kept the temp nice the entire time. The outdoor furniture and dining area are great, as is the new deck out front. The hot tub is amazing. The kitchen has all the modern amenities for the most discerning cook, and more ways to make coffee than I could count. And make sure you browse the library. There’s interesting reading for all ages on those shelves. Maya is a generous and engaging host who wants nothing more than for you to enjoy your stay. We called it home for a week, and only wished it had been longer. Would absolutely recommend, and hope to stay again.

Stayed Aug 16, 2024We had a wonderful stay at this historic and lovely property. Outside: oak trees that were hundreds of years old casting shade in the lush garden. We loved sitting on the front porch with a glass of wine and conversation. Inside there were many historic artifacts and books giving unique charm. Fully stocked with coffee, eggs, butter, milk, waffle mix, etc. we felt so spoiled. Also love the jacuzzi and piano.

Stayed Jun 20, 2024Not only was Maya‘s home clean, perfectly located and incredibly well-stocked with everything we could possible think we might need, she also encouraged us to use and play with all the things in the home. There was a piano, ukulele, gong, board games, dominoes, cards and books. The furniture and beds were comfortable. The home was welcoming and very inviting. Maya was very responsive to my communications, and I even had the pleasure of meeting her and hearing about the history of the home. I would absolutely stay again and will tell all my friends and family about it if they are heading to Santa Barbara.
