Stayed Feb 16, 2022My family (age range from 3 months - 70 y/o) all had a great stay at Candice’s house. House was spotless and comfortable and she had loads of recommended activities for us. Kids loved looking after the chickens and picking fruit in the garden. Beds were all very comfortable too. Didn’t use the pool as weather was a little chilly but was safe for kids with the electronic cover and gates separating sections of the yard.

Stayed Jun 26, 2021The house was perfect for us and our two daughters. Lots to do in and around the location - biking, hiking, beach. Comfortable and lovely home, fruit trees and chickens a plus!

Stayed Nov 22, 2020My family convened in Santa Barbara for Thanksgiving week, staying at this beautiful property. There is a huge amount of outdoor space, including a pool, spa and large deck with dining table where we spent a majority of our time to remain COVID safe. The house itself is so comfortable with the bedrooms spaced out to afford privacy for the guests. We all had our own bathrooms, which was a big plus! I am a professionally trained chef and found the kitchen very functional and well stocked—ideal for cooking our thanksgiving dinner. Candace and Kelly are great to work with, answering many questions and providing excellent recommendations on restaurants for take out meals (we loved Elubias tamales!). The neighborhood is very quiet, which is exactly what we were looking for. There is a bike / walking path very close to the house that we enjoyed for long walks in towards Goleta and back. All in all, this was a enjoyable, relaxing week with family. I highly recommend this property!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969I loved staying at this house...the owner and property manager helped make it a great experience. The house is wonderful, spacious, clean, comfortable with all the bells and whistles. The pool and yard are lovely, especially the gardens - everything was blooming. My family really had a the best trip due in a big way to getting to stay in this house and the terrific Santa Barbara weather. I would highly recommend staying here.

Stayed Jul 7, 2019Our family of four stayed at this property for 4 nights recently and we had an amazing time! Even Bear, our golden retriever, will miss his walks around the neighborhood and dips in the pool. My sons loved riding bikes to the beach, walking to the little coffee place two blocks away and generally just relaxing by the pool. The chickens are such a sweet treat as we got fresh eggs every morning for breakfast. Truly a Lovely house in a beautiful quiet area, away from it all but just close enough to everything when needed. I highly recommend this property!

Stayed Jul 1, 2019We had a great relaxing stay at this property. The house accommodated our large group well with plenty of space for everyone. We especially loved the pool, backyard and the kids loved the front yard swing. We walked the nearby trail a few times too. The house was close to everything we wanted to do including the zoo and the beach. We would definitely recommend it!

Stayed Jun 5, 2019The accuracy of the online listing was very good, however the pictures of furniture have changed. The new furniture was more modern and appropriate for family use. There was stated concern over a white sofa in the formal living room but we did not even use that sofa! Loved the pool, hot tub, sound system, kitchen and playroom. Our two grand daughters played in there for long periods of time! The beds were very comfortable. We also loved collecting eggs from the hens and eating the eggs! Very near the airport, Santa Barbara Yacht Club, and downtown area. The idea/house book they supplied was very thorough and provided us with many local details.

Stayed Jun 10, 2019We have visited Santa Barbara annually for seven years as our son labored over a Masters Degree and PhD at UCSB. At first we stayed in garden-variety hotel chains, then started sharing the area’s shared economy options. This weekend he graduated! The whole family was gathered. What a wonderful venue this was. A beautiful, well-appointed home reflecting the owners’ good taste and diligent maintenance. Plenty of room. A beautiful pool. Even a cast of productive hens. We left not just satisfied, but grateful for the owners’ generosity in making it available.
