Two bedroom upstairs unit. Timberlane Mountain Retreat with mini kitchen

Pat was very nivlce and we had no problems!!! Very beautiful place, very clean. We really enjoyed our stay!!

Host did great job of communicating need for 4*4 car. Host responded to every text timely. Host keep excellent conditions necessary for safety. Downfall was mountain landscape and snow, need to rent 4*4 to get closet to property. Property was 2 BR upper unit with small community area with desired / common amenities.

We loved this clean and lovely two bedroom property! There are home bake treats and filter water in the house. We really feel like staying at home. The owner is very kind and reply to my text quickly. During our staying, it snowed on of the evenings. And we were out until late of the evening. When we back, we found that the drive way and stairs were cleaned and salted to prevent ice. We felt safe and cared! Appreciate Pat and Carey sharing such a warm and cozy home with us!

Quaint and Cozy. Has everything you need to get your day started (coffee, snacks, breakfast area, purified water). Definitely pack light because of stairs. Make sure you have AWD/4x4 for winter as the driveway is steep (we have a Tacoma). Parking is for 1 car only per unit. Not an issue for us, just informational for the next guest. Close to eateries and grocery. Has the best hot water and water pressure! We enjoyed our stay.

The Howlands were a sweet couple with a nice space to rent. They left us delicious home baked goods (my son was a huge fan!), drinks, and everything we’d need. We enjoyed our stay!

Host was very helpful and responded quickly in all communication Overall it was clean and a really nice stay.

Perfect for what I needed. Comfortable beds, hot showers with great pressure. And fresh cookie waiting for me. I’ll be there agsin

Homemade treats!

Had a really great experience staying at this property! The hosts went above and beyond making me feel welcome and, even if they hadn’t, the check in process and quality of the home were excellent. I could not recommend this place more!

The rooms were clean, comfortable and provided privacy for us and our grown son. I would recommend a tv for one room. Our son wanted to watch a NFL game but only available on my phone with Amazon Prime. A full game on a cell phone is hard to watch .

Thank you for a peaceful stay. I would definitely stay here again.

Easy access close to town and our destinations.

Very clean well managed property

We enjoyed the cozy accommodations. The added extras like the muffins. cookies, and chocolates. The proximity to town was convenient.

The owners were very sweet and very responsive! Very helpful with questions and about the area.The treats and goodies were such a sweet touch!

My son and I stayed a couple of nights while we were in town touring App State. It made the perfect getaway - very quiet and peaceful.

2 nights up early on the Watauga River Trout fishing .Rental was Clean, quaint with all the amenities you needed. The owner had homemade cookies and muffins which was veery nice touch. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable! I will definitely call again for my next trout fishing Trip!

We've spent 3 wonderful days at this house. Wonderful.

The room itself was perfect for what we needed. Just the right space and very comfortable. The only downside for us were the steps up to the room, but only because we had worked hard all day long and were exhausted. Pat was Awesome! I would recommend this room to anyone who is looking for a quaint little get away in the mountains.

We absolutely enjoyed our two nights stay! The place was immaculate, beds were very comfortable. We were able to use Small eating area for both breakfast and one of our dinners that we could microwave. Love the skylights and being able to see the stars at night. Very quiet neighborhood and peaceful setting among the trees We were a little bit concerned on the first day about The driveway as there was no room to turn around. It was easier to back down than we thought. Although we told the owners we were OK with that, they were even more accommodating by keeping their car below the driveway to make it easier for us We really appreciated that! Location was very close to everything we needed to do in the area But remote enough to be quiet. Would definitely recommend and would stay there again Thank you, Pat

Very clean. Small. Good size for the 3 of us. Driveway was like a lot of the mountain homes, uphill with sharp turn. Great communication! Perfect for a quick trip to AppState. Thank you!

Such a cute little place on the top floor of Timberlane! Homemade treats were wonderful and it's a great location, very close to Boone. Be advised there is no A/C, which wasn't an issue for us as it was fairly cool during our visit, and it is a steep driveway. After a rain our tires spun out and we had to take a running start to get up to the cabin LOL.
