Stayed Mar 13, 2019We stayed 3 nights in the casa grande associated with the Galapagos Pearl Hotel and could not have been more pleased. The casa has 2 bedrooms, a small kitchen, one bathroom, and is conveniently located right next to the pool and the outdoor dining area where Yolanda serves breakfast. Your room is cleaned every day. The garden surrounding the pool and casa is lush and full of geckos, cats, and beautiful plantings. Yolanda is from the Galapagos, she is a wonderful host and her daughter helped us at the pharmacy when we needed medicine. They knew all the places to go in town--from day trips to restaurants to the grocery store. They had snorkel gear and bikes for us to use free of charge. It helps to speak Spanish, but it's not entirely necessary. Would definitely recommend this spot for people who want to get off the hotel cycle that so many people have to go through in the Galapagos. Also great for an extended stay. There is so much to do in and out of Puerto Ayora you can easily kill 2 weeks.
