Beautiful, quiet property. I appreciated the separation from the owners home and the privacy that this creates. Very close to Mesa Verde and many other local attractions. A wonderful place to stay.

I was very pleased with the property. It was clean and the hosts responsive to any need. They thought of a lot of details--hanging a flashlight by the door in case you came in late at night and couldn't see the key pad. A medical emergency kit. Eggs and butter in refrigerator in case you didn't have time to shop. I enjoyed their hummingbird feeder outside the door. Very peaceful

Visiting in Mancos for our daughter's 50th bday bash, we found Twisted Cedars to be a lovely respite. The cozy unit was relaxing and our hosts were at the ready when we needed anything. We found homemade zucchini nut bread as well as a pizza in the freezer in case we'd arrived late. Sitting outside was a pleasure to see the distant Mesa Verde mountains. Simply lovely...

5/5 – Peaceful retreat just minutes from Mesa VerdeOur stay at Twisted Cedars Ranch was absolutely excellent—peaceful, scenic, and truly off the beaten path in the best way. Just a short, beautiful 10-minute drive down a private dirt road (less than a mile from the entrance to Mesa Verde), this place felt secluded yet completely accessible to everything we came for.The one-bedroom unit was exceptionally clean and well thought-out—comfortable for both relaxing and cooking. My wife and I made full use of the functional kitchen for daily breakfasts and quiet dinners, and the views from the property were breathtaking. Every morning, we were treated to a stunning sunrise, and the tranquility of the ranch made it feel like time slowed down.We were especially grateful to meet our kind hosts, Heather and Chad, who were welcoming and respectful of our space. Their property is a hidden gem, and the quiet out there is something special you don’t easily find.Highly recommended for couples or solo travelers who appreciate nature, privacy, and being close to the wonders of Mesa Verde.

Heather and Chad were great hosts. The cottage was lovely. Clean and well equipped. We enjoyed sitting on the porch in the morning watching the sunrise and watching the many hummingbirds at the feeder. The location is convenient to Mesa Verde but away from town. Quiet and private. The gardens were wonderful to walk through and see what was growing. We enjoyed our stay so much that we extended our stay 1 night. We would definitely recommend staying here. I would stay again if we are in the area again. Five stars all around!

We really enjoyed our stay. The accommodations fit our needs perfectly. We were in Colorado for a family reunion at Echo Basin so the location was close enough that it was easy to get to, but far enough away to escape from the chaos of my extended family. It made my morning to have coffee with the hummingbirds. We appreciate Heather and Chad sharing their property with us!

We enjoyed the garden area and the stars on clear nights. Close to Mesa Verde, Durango, and hiking. Very good restaurants nearby. Really enjoyed our stay.

The location of this cabin is perfect! From the cabin, we spent time at Mesa Verde, travelling the San Juan Skyway/Million Dollar Highway, and a day out west at Bluff UT, Valley of the Gods and Monument Valley as highlights. The directions to the cabin were spot on - we travelled in late at night and it was quite dark. We had no issues getting to the cabin and accessing it. The cabin itself was adorable and clean! It has a full kitchen that we utilized to cook during our trip. The living area, bedroom and bathroom were all excellent and served our purposes. The kitchen was stocked with cooking necessities, which we utilized during the trip. The bathroom has plenty of towels, soap and shampoo. The bedroom was adorable and had bedside tables and plenty of outlets. My favorite part is the beautiful view of the mountains. We could see the sunrise each morning, it was stunning. I felt safe on the property, which is well maintained and in a great neighborhood. We did get to meet the host, Heather, who gave us tips and points of interest to see while visiting. She was accommodating and wanted to be sure that we had everything that we needed. Overall, I would love to stay at this property again! We had a wonderful trip!

What a wonderful location- not far from Mesa Verde NP but still miles away from hustle and bustle. It is such a beautiful peaceful place. We loved seeing the mountains, the stars and the birds out the windows and on the porch. The cabin itself had everything we could need and was built and decorated with great attention to detail

Nice 1 bedroom apartment with a wood stove. The wood stove really warmed up the space nicely with little effort. Owner left a pizza and some eggs in the fridge. Nice if you get in late and don’t have time for grocery shopping.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights as we visited Mesa Verda NP. A very nice and clean accommodation that met all of our needs - full kitchen with everything needed to fix meals, good shower and comfortable bed. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. They left a loaf of zucchini (grown in their garden) bread and a bottle of champagne in the fridge with a nice note as we were celebrating our 40th anniversary. The cabin is located out in the country with no nearby neighbors visible from the cabin. It's about a 10 minute drive on a gravel road to the main road and maybe 5 minutes away from the entry gate to Mesa Verde. We loved the sweeping mountain views and watching the sunsets and sunrises. We highly recommend the Twisted Cedars cabin if you like a peaceful and relaxing environment. We would gladly return. And we give it 6 stars out of 5 with 5 being the highest!

The hosts keep this place well maintained and organized. The hosts put a lot of effort into you have an amazing time here.
