Twin Tides Intracoastal waterway cottage w/views of the ocean private dock &more

The location of this property is perfect for families who want to experience the nature and views of the marsh and the ICW. The location is private, but still close to activities and only 20 minutes from either Wilmington or Carolina Beach. The house is cozy and well-appointed, and the private dock is one of the main reasons we chose this rental. The views, location, and ability to bring our four-legged family were a huge plus too. The owner is very nice and responsive, and everything went smoothly. A seafood market is close by, with everything you could want. It is easy to go into downtown Wilmington or take a boat ride from the front yard all the way to Bald Head Island. We even saw three beautiful spotted eagle rays right on the sandbar in front of the house! The views are outstanding, with a dozen different wading birds right outside the windows. The windows don't have curtains, so be prepared to wake up a bit early, but why would you want to sleep in when there is so much to do? This will be our go-to place to stay in the Wilmington area.

If you are on the fence vs. other properties in the area that may be cheaper, book this home! There is no beach experience like it. The location is almost at the end of a single lane road that leads you back to the inlet, so the privacy is unparalleled. Our family loved the dock, especially in the evenings. We crabbed and fished. Now, the home, WOW! Whatever you’re thinking from the pictures, it will twice as great when you see it. Lined with glass doors, you have a permanent inlet view. The kitchen appliances are extraordinary, so I would suggest using them & cooking fresh seafood as we did. The house was immaculate and super easy check in / check out. Master upstairs bathroom takes your breath away with an inlet view from anywhere in the bathroom, nothing was skimmed on when this was done. Amber, our host was super kind and always on top of responding to messages, sharing local information & going above and beyond. The few things to note: this is not beach access but less than 5 miles away and you can always equally enjoy the private dock, the laundry is on the lower level, in a small room that was unconditioned & very smelly - we just avoided it and washed clothes when we got home, the upstairs area has a room for the kids that is connected to a reading nook area and then goes into another bedroom but none of the three rooms have doors to separate from each other, and oddly, the master suite upstairs has no door on the bathroom. I did not contact the host on these items.

Amber was a wonderful host! She worked with us last minute to take my mother in law who is gong through cancer treatment on a long relaxing weekend! The house had everything we needed not to mention perfect location! We hope to return in the future! Thank you again for opening up your home to us!

Our stay was wonderful, multiple paddle boards and kayaks at our disposal. Fishing from the dock was not only fun but so relaxing. Most of our time was spent at this beautiful home due to all the daily activities that were located on property. Sitting on the deck while the sun was setting and under the lights after dark was perfect. Can’t say enough about our stay, we will be back.

We had a wonderful family vacation. The house was beautiful and great location. In the evenings we enjoyed sitting out on the dock watching the gorgeous sunsets and fishing. We brought our kayaks and went over to the island across from house and had the entire beach to ourselves. We will definitely be returning. Thank you

Home was beautiful in a lovely area. The property has a few quirks but doesn’t take away from the wonderful time we had. Amber was amazing, very responsive and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

House was very comfortable and cozy with amazing views and tons of activities on site or a short drive. The homeowners were very responsive to questions and went above and beyond to ensure a wonderful experience! Will definitely be coming back! 🤗

We have traveled all over, and this is one of the nicest places that we have stayed at in a while. The views were amazing and the wildlife was everywhere. We enjoyed walking out of the pier and watching the boats travel by while enjoying our adult beverages, and then retiring the amazing kitchen to cook and to socialize was a major highlight of this trip! Short drive or Uber to multiple bars, and nightlife entertainment made the location even better! The rooms were spacious and each one offered it's own unique view of the surroundings. There was a great attention to detail in what was selected for the tenants to use, from the cooking ware to the paddleboards! Can't wait to come back!
