Casa Michale is a bungalow located on a tropical hillside, 100 meters above sea level, affording stunning ocean and bay views.
There are about 25 stairs down to the house from the street. The kitchen is equipped so you can cook if you are in the mood or there are many good restaurants close by. Inside the house is a king size bed, lockable walk in closet, desk (WiFi speed is 155) and sitting which are air-conditioned and have sliding glass windows and screens.
Adjoining the bedroom is the WC and bathroom. The bathroom has a shower and closed WC. On the patio is a fully equipped kitchen, out door sitting and a day bed at pool-side where you can nap or read or sleep. The dipping pool and sun deck are private. Hotel Amuleto is just a few hundred meters down the street with excellent food and Suspiro just within walking. If you need laundry done or a meal cooked for you, you can arrange this with Bibi who will also greet you and get you settled. Rufina will organize a taxi to bring you from the airport. If you are driving, there is secure street parking at our entrance. All you need is to relax and enjoy.

There is an air conditioned workspace desk and lockable space for your valuables. The house is quiet and secluded, and is ideal for the perfect getaway.
Bibi will arrange a taxi for you at the airport with a market stop if you like and Bibi will greet you at the house and get you settled in.
Playa la Ropa is a pleasant 20 minute walk or a $4.US taxi. If you walk down to the beach there is a taxi stand at the South end of Playa la Ropa so you don't have to walk back home.
The kitchen is equipped if you want to do some cooking or you can arrange for Bibi to do a meal for you. She is also available to do any laundry. If you have rented a car there is safe street parking and if not, easy taxis are available. There are 2 very good restaurants within walking distance, Amuleto, one of the best in town, and Suspiro, and a number of restaurants on Playa la Ropa as well as in town. We will have a list in the house of taxi numbers and restaurant suggestions.
In town you have a wealth of shops and markets to explore. Every morning the local fishermen bring their catch onto the beach downtown where there is also a great breakfast spot. So between the beaches, La Ropa, La Madera and Las Gatas, the markets and shops you will have a lot to keep you busy if you can get out of the pool.

The house was great! It has such a beautiful view. We loved waking up and seeing the bay without even having to get out of bed. It was a peaceful and very quiet area. The birds were fun to watch and listen to. Walking down to Playa La Ropa was fine, we had to take taxis back up and of course into Zihua. The stairs were not a problem, as you can leave by going down to the lower road and return at the top and then walk down to the house from the upper road. And thank you so much for providing sharp knives in the kitchen - that never happens!! And we love to cook so it does matter.

The view is of the ocean and the city. The apartment is very nice and the plunge pool is great. You can sit out on the deck in the morning and listen to the birds, there were at least 20 different species. There is a 5 gallon jug of drinking water that was awesome to have. The fridge and freezer worked great and the kitchen was well stocked. Having a few spices, tea and coffee made things a lot easier. There is mosquito repellant and a couple cans of raid, which are there for a reason. There is not much privacy when you are outside (which means the kitchen, shower, pool, deck, and seating area) as the woven branch wall has 1-2 gaps between each branch. The shower has about 3 and a half walls, so it is partially outside. There are locked doors to get into the property and a guy who lives on site for security, but there are no locks on the doors. You can close the doors to the bedroom and latch them, but that means everything is closed up and no windows to open. The property is on a very steep road, and there is no reliable and scheduled public transport. You can walk down the hill to a combi stop and the beach, but it is steep. Like you are leaning backwards the whole time. And then to get back up it's either a serious workout or you have to take a taxi from the bottom for 100 pesos. If you can't walk down you have to call a taxi. So you are pretty much stuck. I wish I could upload photos but the site doesn't allow it.

A beautiful bungalow, absolutely amazing view, excellent large bed, fully functional kitchen with essentials. Nice staff, private pool. Downside is a bit of a climb from the beach or town...take a cab i'd suggest, and even then there will be stairs. Worth !

Gorgeous property and bungalow! This place is amazing. Everything was perfect. The bungalow is so cool! There are plenty of different places to relax. The pool and deck are dreamy and the view of the bay is glorious. At night when the lights of the city come on it's hard to go to sleep because it is so beautiful. Contacting Robert was easy and he was a great host. Easy check in with clear instructions on how to work everything and phone numbers if we needed anything. We will absolutely be coming back, easily the most amazing place we have stayed in Zihua.

We enjoyed being slightly remote, preparing our own meals and the privacy, but at the time access to great restaurants, beaches, and socializing with friends in the central part of town,

Property was ideally situated, clean and well maintained. Staff was very good and attentive.Property listing did not mention the number of steps to get to the room which could be a problem for older or handicapped persons.Overall a great value for the money.

It was everything we hoped it would be. Gorgeous setting, walking distance to beach and restaurants, and outdoor living at its finest. Staff was available, courteous and professional, and Robert was a responsive host. Is it too soon to reserve for next year?!?

Unique ideas on a steep hillside overlooking gorgeous bay. Communications for us were difficult since our phones were not working in MX, therefore we couldn't get arrival info the week before. Also we were not aware of the steepness of the steps. We are fine, but are 75 years old, with heart problems. Guests should be made aware of the steep steps to get in and out of this place. Also, the cleaners took our fluffy, comfy pillows half way thru the week, giving us four flat pillows in return. ??? Not what we expected. Super friendly and helpful watchman on property. There is an amazing restaurant at the base of the steps, Suspiro. Elegant service, great view, and yummy food.

This is an amazing space; it’s private and secluded with an amazing view day and night. Super secure with great local help (thank you Bibi!). The property sits about 385’ above the beach, so you will get your steps in! Which we wanted. But for a few dollars, there are plenty of cabs if you are tired or in a hurry.

Very very pleased and will return to Casa Roberto very soon. I can’t even put it in words on just how simple, fun, and relaxing this house was. Gracias for everything! Clean, rapid help, extra necessities were in a snap of a finger. I do vacation rentals as well. And I always go out of my way to make things happen. This is exactly how this place is ran. Top notch. 10/10

Casa Michael, as we found out it was called upon our arrival, was even more lovely than the pictures in the posting. The views from the loungers was perfecto! The unit's amenities were complete and had everything that anyone would need for a short stay in Zihua. We made breakfast every morning. In addition to the kitchen articles with plates, glassware, pots and pans, they had complimentary tea and coffee. They even had a bottle of Woodbridge CA Cabernet in the fridge (if that is your thing). The outdoor living was lovely in the dry season, the pool just cool enough to take the heat of the day off. There was Off provided (the mosquitoes are relentless) which was an added bonus since we left our mosquito spray at home. The bedroom was well appointed with a large bed with beyond, a workspace desk, a small table overlooking to outdoor space, and A/C. It is important to note that the unit is accessible by approximately 75 steps from either above or below (not 25 as was communicated to us). This can get touring to go in and out over the course of the day, but provides a great excuse to read a book on the lounge or dip on the pool. Additionally, the only thing that actually locks is a closet to keep valuables in. Otherwise the home shares walkways with another unit and the bedroom sites not lock. It is fine as the neighborhood I is very safe But it is good to know in advance. Overall, it was a great experience and we would definitely come back during the set month
