Tranquil San Rafael House

We absolutely loved every minute spent in the San Rafael home! It is more beautiful than mere photos can depict! Duane communicated so well with us before and during our stay. He is a perfectionist and all was perfectly perfect! The grounds are filled with gorgeous flowers and plants, the pool area is inviting and relaxing, the layout of the home is perfect for 8, and the kitchen, den, and living room are lovely bright and cozy. Gas fireplaces and lovely paintings throughout, a ping pong table, and basketball hoop—what more can you ask for! I highly recommend this home and this host. The attention to detail and warm hospitality were top notch. We hope to return as soon as possible. Everyone in our family loved it, and wished we could stay forever! Thank you so very much for sharing your Pasadena Paradise with us while we celebrated our son’s college graduation. We enjoyed every minute!

The house is equipped with everything. Pool/spa/cabana/living room/sitting area/bedrooms were all very comfortable and nicely furnished / decorated.. Owners were excellent in communication and ease of process. We would look forward to a renting again.

Great space, perfect for our needs. Came to the area for a family celebration. Location was great, house and gardens were beautiful!

Duane and Linda’s beautifully furnished home is perfectly set up for family stays and was very welcoming for our young grandsons and the adults. The pool and hot tub had toys galore which were used heavily. The very well equipped gourmet kitchen made meal prep easy as was the home’s proximity to markets. Bedrooms were all comfortable. Most important, though, was our hosts accessibility. They are great.

We loved every aspect of this welcoming home in the Pasadena area. It was a quiet neighborhood and the house is surrounded by the most intriguing gardens. Each room of the home was thoughtfully laid out for guests to feel as though we were home during our stay. The owners were easy to work with and quick to respond to any questions. I would highly recommend this home to anyone who would appreciate a gracious place to stay while visiting the area.

We booked this house as a gathering point for our son's graduation. We had family coming in from many places around the country and needed a place that could would be reoomy enough and comfortable enough. Linda and Duane's home couldn't have been more perfect for our stay. With a large beautiful kitchen were able to prepare some delicious dinners, and the pool and hottub were a wonderful respite from the heat of the day. Nicely decorated with tons of conveniences, the home was even better than I had hoped for. Duane and Linda were always accessible and helpful for any questions we had. I cannot recommend this home enough!

Wow - the San Rafael House experience hosted by Linda & Duane was world class from every possible angle! We had excellent communications back and forth to ensure stay readiness ahead of check in. Directions and a host visit to ensure we were comfortable upon check in were a supreme touch. The San Rafael house is a beautiful home kept in immaculate condition. Landscaping, gardens, lighting and patio/pool/cabana area are gorgeous, inviting and wonderful. Open floor plan on first floor for spreading out and has tons of natural light. So warm & inviting. All Bedrooms and bathrooms perfect all around. Neighborhood is quiet and surrounding areas wonderful for walking, jogging, etc. Lower Arroyo Secco trail is close by for a great walk or jog to the Rose Bowl Stadium and back. We were in town to visit my brother who lives 15 minutes away in Alhambra and to see as many things possible in LA. San Rafael House is super great for access to Pasadena (Santa Anita Race Track 15 mins away), neighboring Highland Park (numerous great restaurants) and a starting point for all LA has to offer (Griffith Park & Planetarium, Zoo, Beverly Hills, Museums - such as Motion Picture/Broad/MOCA, Sony Movie Studio Tour, Art Galleries, Dodger Stadium, Beaches Long Beach/Manhattan/Malibu, Mountains, etc.). Our Family remarked it was the best vacation ever. When returning to the area, securing a stay at San Rafael House will be trip action plan step #1!

This house is amazing. Fantastic location, large comfortable and cozy home has every amenity. Pool, hot tub and pool cabana was the icing on the cake. Spectacular fully equipped kitchen. Can't say enough good things about this property.

It was an amazing stay at San Rafael house. Beautiful just to sit by the pool and the fireplace. Our entire family truly enjoyed themselves.
