Traditional Provencal gite, offering quietness and serenity

We had a wonderful vacation in this house. It is very comfortable, with a large living room and comfortable beds. The large terrace space provides shade at all times of the day, the surroundings are beautiful and quiet. Nadine and Guy are very friendly and helpful hosts. The only weak point is the kitchen equipment. If one only uses the kitchen for warming up convenience food in the microwave or oven, it is okay, but if one wants to prepare something from the attractive fresh products available at the village markets and supermarkets, then the old electric stove and the available pots and pans make cooking tedious. All in all, we enjoyed a splendid holiday in this house.

Very welcoming, a lot of room and privacy both inside and outside

Although early in the year, we had a great time in the charming house, which is functional but made with love inbetween wine and olives. Nadine and Guy gave us a warm welcome and were always there, when we had a need. French and English spoken. A lot of sight seeing highlights are in the range and you have a lovely view to Mont Ventoux. As we brought an excellent trecking guide book (Stockmann, Provence mit Kindern) we used the house for trecking tours to the Vaucluse Gorges, the nearby Luberon or for car tours to Avignon, Vaisson la Romaine (both 0,5h) Arles (1 h) and even Camarque (1,5 h) Nearby is a lovely lake to swim and pause at a strand bar , starting point of one of the described tours to the yellow and red occer hills. We returned to Mazan for the third time this spring and were very happy to stay at this house. The Maurizot family has done a wonderful job of making this a place where visitors feel good - lots of light, and air and good energy in and around the house and it's vineyards. The layout of the house is great, the kitchen well equipped, and everything was spotless and in good working order. We've stayed in a lot of vacation rentals over the year, and this was definitely one of the better ones. Interacting with Nadine Maurizot was an unexpected pleasure. She was an attentive but discrete host, in addition to being something of a force of nature (chapeau for the ultra-tri, Nadine!). We would definitely return here, and probably will.

The owners are very friendly and hospitable and very helpful! Furniture also of excellent quality and good taste! No wonder they have so many repeats!!! We will be back too!!!!!!
