Townhome on the sand with direct beach access, ocean views, deck, & W/D

DO NOT STAY HERE, DO NOT BOOK, YOU WILL REGRET IT!! I sit here writing this many days after the stay and these events taking place. I have had time to calm down and think and i still feel this angry to write an awful review. If no other reason but to spare another family the terrible awful experience of staying in this place. So i to this day have never received check in information. We arrived and had no way in the rental and the offices where closed. We got through with VRBO not the rental company and they where able to get a representative on call from the rental company. We (at this point outside the rental at 6pm) were given a code to get in the house through VRBO that did not work. We finally crawled through an open window to access the rental we paid for around 8 pm. As far as the rental company new we never got in and were left out in the driveway to rot. We then (after climbing in a window) discovered all the cockroaches within the unit. The home is also run down old and needing alot of care. The oven did not work and we lost alot of food because we are a big family and packed all our meals for the trip but couldnt prepare any of it. The dishwasher did not work. We were on the phone our entire stay, i mean everyday pulling teeth with all these issues and nothing ever happened. No help ever came, no information or rental confirmation (other than the receipt taking my money) has ever or was ever sent to us. The driveway is also a deep sand road YOU WILL GET STUCK!

Great location and beautiful views of the ocean

The house was really beautiful with lots of room. The kitchen was very well stocked. The house set right on the beach. We really loved that we were able to sit under the house out of the sun to play in the sand with our grandchildren. The glass railing was an absolute bonus, it gave you unobstructed view of the beautiful ocean. The beach is absolutely stunning. The area was so quiet and not crowded. It was an absolutely perfect week with our family. I definitely would book this house again.

Overall it was wonderful! The beach is absolutely beautiful and peaceful. I loved how we were able to sit under the house in the shade and the babies were still able to play in the sand comfortably. The house was lovely, the kitchen had all the necessary amenities. The glass railing on the porch offered unobstructed views of the beach. The down sides where the master bath shower did not drain well, the driveway has very deep sand but we have a 4X4 so it was not an issue for us. One of the older plastic Adirondack chairs broke when my son sat in it but thankfully he wasn’t hurt. Avoid the green ones. I will definitely book this house in the future, if the ocean doesn’t take the beautiful house.

Best house we have stayed in so far and we have been coming to Topsail for over 20 years!

It was a nice place, and I would recommend. Had beautiful views. Right on the beach. The glass railing was amazing. But every place has its downfalls. Parking sucked. Said there was room for 3 vehicles, with all the sand blowing we only had room for 1 vehicle. We think we were in our driveway with our other vehicle. For some reason they never took the towels from previous renters. So, we had to walk around them every day. No beach access from deck, had to walk through the house to and from the beach. There wasn't much pressure from the faucet outside, so sand everywhere. The sliding glass doors were very hard to open and close

The views are magnificent! Well stocked with all the necessities. Nicely decorated. However, more of an ocean house than beach house. The 10 foot sand bags and waves under the house restricted any access to the beach. Without a four wheel drive vehicle, the driveway is not accessible if is not cleared of sand. We witnessed a garbage truck and another four wheel drive vehicle get stuck in the road due to the sand. We learned this is a problem with this property. We would not recommend this property to those who like family time on a beach and lacks a four wheel drive vehicle.

Can’t beat the view, I just hope North Top Sail replenishes the beach front before this beautiful home is washed away.

Loved the comfy beds and wonderfully stocked kitchen. Lights out front need to be replaced as it was a safety hazard. The top deck was great to sit on and the ocean view was great. You do lose almost all your beach at high tide. The fabric buried in the sand and big old sand bags really take away from the beach itself. When wading through the surf you could get wound up in them and trip. Iu

Really fun location. Poor quality of advertised amenity such as ability to rinse off sand before entering the house. Literally sand will be everywhere inside. Poor response to no AC until Wednesday of the week.

Right on the beach which was great. Plenty of room for 10 people. Upstairs master is great spot to throw all the kids.

We loved having the water at the tips of our toes and then the whole beach to explore! Outside we were still able to enjoy the beach at high tide which we were nervous about but it all worked out with the sand between our home and the neighbors. Beds were comfy. Convenience of the washer and dryer are always a nice touch. Crab hunting right under the house was a blast for the kids. We would definitely book again.

The driveway is nothing but sand. Make sure you have a 4-wheel drive vehicle to park in the driveway. The ocean views are great though.
