Towering beach house with private pool, hot tub, decks & ocean views

Pool was filled with ocean overwash from the storm but we weren’t swimming. Clean rooms and easy access

Our stay started off a little rocky hot tub was not working and no tips on pools sticks so for about 4 days no hot tub. It rook a few calls to get it right. Gentlemen, that came out and fixed hot tub was great. Tips were fixed. After everything was done, we had great time here and we were compensated, for the 4 days, with no hot tub, so excellent service thereafter. Excellent location. We enjoyed our time. We will be rebooking for next year.

The house was a great size for 2 adults and 5 teenagers. It was in a fantastic location.

Spacious enough for 12 people with plenty of room ! House and amenities were clean and everything worked perfectly during our stay. Super short walk to the beach and great views . Would book again .

We were at the house for 4 nights and it was just amazing! Great house, little outdated, but clean and neat! The pool was great, the jacuzzi was great as well! We have no complaints at all, but couple of little stuff. The balconies are very old with a lot of rusted nails all around, so make sure to wear shoes. There are no beach towels and no umbrellas or beach chairs, so make sure to bring your own. The beach is like a minute walk and it’s like a private one. The only people there and the ones from the houses around! We will definitely go back there next year!

I loved the location of this house. This was my first stay in Buxton. The house has lots of charm but needs some TLC. There is a lot to be desired when it comes to curb appeal, however it has a pool and hot tub which was enjoyed by the whole family! Also, very roomy so you aren't cramped with a large group. We could walk to the beach in 3 minutes or less. With some repairs and updating, this could be the best house on the block in my opinion.

This is a beautiful home in our favorite neighborhood; light and airy layout, and nice views for an Oceanside home, spacious kitchen and lots of seating at counter, dining table and game table. However I can’t highly recommend this house as it is in need of some TLC. The landscape is a disaster with weeds that have been allowed to over grow, killing the curb appeal and taking away from the enjoyment of the pool area. We did use the pool and spa without issue but would have been nice to have more enticing space and some shade would be appreciated. Overall the home is a bit shopworn and could really benefit from some updates. At the very least some of the bathroom mirrors need replacing, and some of the furnishings as well, particularly in the bedrooms and the “tower” room. I saw some prior reviews that complained about poorly equipped kitchen but we found it to have everything we needed and the house was clean, but I can confirm they are still battling some ants. While none were spotted upon move in, a few days later I found some around the kitchen sink. I called to report it and couldn’t get through but automated system said someone would call back but never got call back and I did not try again. I killed all I could see and then put out an ant trap. I know they can be tough to get rid of and they was no food or crumbs in area and everything was clean. We had rain 2 days and we had a major leak right over the fireplace behind the tv. After calling, a maintenance person was dispatched right away and while it obviously couldn’t be fixed during the storm he did identify the source of the leak and provided some bigger buckets to catch the water so we wouldn’t have to keep emptying them and also it protected the tv and stereo equipment. So I can say that we had a positive experience with Vacasa. TV’s in the game room and living room worked on cable and also were smart TV’s so we were able to stream using the wifi. We were unable to get bedroom tv to work, but I did not call to report since it was late when I noticed it. This is first time we did not get an oceanfront home in a long time, but the beach is an easy walk and visible between other homes. It turned out to not be a big deal since we didn’t get to go to beach but the one day. I found the living space to be comfortable; but the mattresses were not. With a little TLC and some repairs this home could be beautiful again. It’s on the market so I hope someone buys it that will bring it back to a higher level.

Lots of improvements needs to be done, however the house is for sale so I’m assuming there will be no more updates. We were also under the impression that we would have tv, however there was no connection to several of them and the remote controls were missing batteries The hot tub only heated to 92. The ants are almost unbearable. They were everywhere in the home. There was a lot of mold in the bathrooms. Ice maker didn’t work properly. I’m really disappointed as this was not our original vacation home we chose. We were offered this home as an accommodation as the home we originally rented was already booked. I read the reviews and they weren’t great however out of the choices we were given this home is the one that would accommodate all of our family. We were assured that the complaints had been addressed. The only good thing was the beach was in walking distance.
