Dunmore Town, Harbour Island
On exclusive Harbour Island, a very unique vacation property! Located on a 40 ft high bluff (just south of Gumelemi Bluff) on the prestigious Narrows portion of the Island, directly on the water with 300 ft of frontage. This place offers Incredible bay and sunset views from the house and grounds. Two acres of TOTAL PRIVACY. No visible neighbors. Stroll down the easy-graded walkway to the private beach area- the only one on the Island with no close neighbors! Located on Girls Bank sand flats, known as a great bonefishing site. Just grab your pole and wade out! The famous Pink Sand Beach is only a five minute walk, with unlimited access! On a quiet day you can hear the ocean surf. Town is also a 5-10 minute stroll from the property. Bring binoculars to watch the mega yachts come in and out of the Harbor and to do some AMAZING tropical bird watching, right on the grounds! Snorkel, swim, or float in pristine clear calm bay waters, which are warmer than the ocean side. Bring chairs out to the edge of the bluff and watch bonefish and stingrays swim in at high tide. At night, because of the privacy and very little light pollution, star gazing is great.
The Tiny House is amazingly efficient. Even with a footprint measuring 12 ft x 12 ft, it contains everything you may need for a short or long-term stay. After your day in the sun, kick back on the cushioned wicker chairs/ottomans, and relax in the air-conditioning while watching your favorite shows/movies on the 43" Smart TV. (bring your login info for your favorite tv apps) WIFI is included, but is not guaranteed! You will be on a small island with poor infrastructure and power/internet outages are fairly frequent! Prepare a plan with your cell carrier if you absolutely need constant internet. BlueRay/DVD player also included, bring a few movies if you like. Store your groceries/beverages in the dorm-size refrigerator and freezer (with ice trays). Microwave a snack or cook some fresh fish from the market (or your catch of the day) in the temperature adjustable electric, skillet, or electric griddle. Enjoy your meal with the provided basic utensils and dishes. Make your morning coffee with the available French Press (Bring your favorite coffee). The bathroom has a hot-water shower and standard toilet. In the main area, is a vanity, a hot/cold water sink, and some counter space with built in cutting board. Below that are three roomy drawers with plates, cups, bowls, utensils, etc. As inviting as the interior may be, nature provides countless charms out on the front patio. Relaxing in the shade of the patio umbrella, with a bay view, you can enjoy your morning breakfast or beverage while listening to the melodious birds or spotting hermit crabs and geckos. The outdoor patio table (with chairs and umbrella) is also perfect to enjoy lunch or dinner. When you are ready to close out your day in paradise, head up the ship-style ladder (with handrails) to the loft bedroom. A Queen Bed with freshly laundered bedding is located in the center, with temperature controlled air conditioning. At the head, foot, and side of the bed is plenty of space to hold your luggage. Most can stand up in the center of the loft bedroom without a problem.
This house was not built like a normal tiny house. It was built according to recent local codes to withstand extreme hurricane force winds, including the doors and windows! Our goal with a booking of this house is a completely satisfactory experience. Cleanliness is of the utmost importance. After each booking this home is thoroughly inspected, cleaned and laundered. Your booking includes non-stop support from ownership and our local caretaker. Before, and while on the Island, we are just a phone call away with any questions. This is our home for several months a year, and we believe you will quickly see how it is all you need to vacation on beautiful Harbour Island .
We loved spending 4 days in Paul’s tiny house. The house is very small but you will find everything you need and you don’t really need a lot when you are in harbour island and spend all the days outside. The garden is impressive and the view is incredible, so peaceful and quiet! Having already been to harbour island we particularly enjoyed being a bit outside downtown (knowing that it’s a 5min drive in golf car)
We loved staying in the Tiny House. The property is breathtaking! We went to Harbour Island for the pink sand but ended up staying on the “private beach” for most of the time. Paul, the owner, went way above with responding and calling with any questions we had. Thank you!
The Tiny House is off the beaten path and on the water but not on any beach. The access to the water is by concrete steps that at high tide is to the steps and bulkhead and at low tide is hundreds of yards away. There is a very large beautiful yard that was mowed in a sporadic way missing the area around the patio so we had shin high weeds to wade through all week. Also, when going to and from the water, we spotted dozens of used condoms or condom wrappers. The water shut off 3 of the 8 days we were there one time when I was soaped up in the shower. We were there 8 days but were only given 2 towels, hand towels, and face clothes. There were no beach towels, chairs or umbrella. When I spoke to the owner, he said those items walk off or can't get through customs so he doesn't provide them. They are all available on the island and we purchased beach towels that we left behind. I'm not sure why a tourist would take these items. The kitchen area was filled with other guests food including a peanut butter jar with a finger smear through it. There was no cooktop or grill so we had to eat out every meal. For a tiny house, there is a lot of furniture and tons of random stuff making it difficult to move around if both people are in the living area. It was also marginally clean albeit clean sheets and mismatched towels. Also, we couldn't get the TV to work on the only rainy day. Paul is very nice but it is clear he doesn't visit his Tiny House very often for QA.
Had a great stay at the Tiny House, Paul was so helpful and really good to deal with. You will not find a better location on the Island it is truly Paradise. Thanks for all the help Paul. Hope to return one day.
The Tiny House on Harbor Island isn't for everyone. We are travelers who prefer to have a private space where we can also cook food. The Tiny House suited our needs. We like to camp in a camper and it had that kind of feel. The best part was that it was right on the Bay and we had a beautiful view of the sea. We spent time each night watching the sunset.
Excellent location. It had all that we were looking for in a Bahamian escape. Absolute peace and tranquility when we wanted it and easy access to wonderful restaurants and other amenities when we wanted that.
Perfect for couple. Loft was roomier than expected. We walked to town and all around and felt safe. People on island are very nice. Recommend you bring some supplies from home as choices are limited and expensive. Still a 10 vacation!
Our stay was amazing. The property was absolutely beautiful. The house was cleam and well maintained.
We had a great time staying at the tiny house. The house was exactly as described and met our needs. The property is on a beautiful piece of land and is very private. The location was very convenient and we had no trouble finding everything we needed.
We had an idyllic 10 days stay in Tiny House. Pink sand beach is 10 minutes walk from the property and lone tree just down your own way to go to the secluded beach. The house is tiny as described but you will find everything you need to spend a perfect stay wirh a great AC and a wonderful bed ultra comfortable. Thank you Paul to have been reactive each time we needed advises to discover the Island. Anthony who lives on the Island is also very helpfull. Sure we will come back. Sandrine and Olivier

Paul was a great host and we so enjoyed our stay on Harbour Island! The house has everything you need and we loved the privacy of the property and how easily accessible the whole island was, especially the Pink Sands beach!
We had such a great stay in this cute little home. The view and tons of privacy provide a lot of bang for your buck! Highly recommend renting a cart to get around town. The house is at the north end of town, right next to Pink Sand Beach. They provided all the essentials for a comfortable stay. Good WiFi. Great view of the lone tree from the edge of the property. Host was quick to respond to questions. We truly our stay and recommend.
