Stayed Mar 28, 2025We absolutely loved our stay at Wanderlust. It was our first time visiting Joshua Tree, and honestly I wish we would have booked one more day! We had two nights at Wanderlust and three days in the park, but it would have been great to add a day and spend some time back at the house enjoying all the amenities. We never had a chance to play the cornhole game, use the telescope to stargaze, or get out and enjoy the fireplace and cozy outdoor furniture. The house itself was absolutely fabulous. Photos are accurate. Our teenage girls were blown away by how beautiful everything was, even the guest bedrooms where they stayed. They loved having their own bathroom. We all loved the homey, cozy brightness, and it was such a treat to stay in a house rather than a hotel during this stretch of our travels. Quiet bedrooms, luxurious bathrooms, laundry, good coffee every morning...it was exactly what we needed after several days of travel.Imelda was lovely-- she was in touch as soon as we texted her, and gave us information on local spots. We used her advice on where to buy groceries, and also on where to eat... Campbell Hill Bakery, Jelly Donut, and Kitchen in the Desert were all top-tier recommendations! Thank you, Imelda! For accessing the park, being closer to the 29 Palms entrance was great. We took the other (busier) entrance one time, because we were closer to that side of the park after the 49 Palms Oasis hike, and we sat in traffic for ages at those park gates.
