While the interior of this home is modern and beautifully furnished, our experience was unfortunately overshadowed by several serious issues. The biggest frustration was the broken gate, accessing it, manually forcing it open from inside the house, as it was stuck in one position. This took nearly 30 minutes each time, which was especially inconvenient in the rain while we were dressed in suits for a convention. During our stay, a tree bench fell and damaged our truck. The host offered no real concern just an AI-generated message saying to go through insurance and didn’t even ask for photos. We were offered a 5% discount, which felt inadequate given the circumstances. The backyard was unkempt, with leaves and debris everywhere, and the hot tub was filthy and completely unusable. Inside the house, we found garbage (used Tim Hortons containers) in the cupboards, suggesting poor cleaning between guests. While the house itself has great potential and the interior is visually appealing, the lack of maintenance, poor communication, and absence of genuine hospitality seriously impacted our stay. We hope the host addresses these issues for future guests.

Absolutely beautiful home. It is an older house so creaks and settling sounds should be expected. The beds were soft, bathrooms were nice, kitchen appeared recently remodeled, and over all a very cozy stay. While it is located within walking distance of restaurants and bars, it's not the nicest area. We had a few locals warn us about parking on the street for too long. The rental does include gated parking though.I do think it would be better to list that the hot tub has an extra fee in the description. We only learned about it as part of our check in process. Not unreasonable, just a surprise and something that could be mentioned in the listing.

We spent a lovely couple of days in this beautiful Victorian house. The house was perfect for our multi generational group. Our pre-teen kids loved the huge hot tub in the perfect, private backyard oasis. We traveled back and forth over the border several times during our stay and I appreciated how close the house was to the bridge and the tunnel. We look forward to visiting this property again in the future!

The check in process was super easy. The house was beautiful and well equipped and clean. The host was very responsive and understanding and beyond helpful. There are many amenities provided that a lot of other rentals do not offer and that made the trip much more enjoyable. The neighborhood is rough, but if you are looking for a sanctuary away from what downtown Windsor seems to have become, this is your place!

This home is absolutely beautiful. A perfect little getaway. I noticed some other reviewers mentioned that the neighborhood is a little rough. I’m from Atlanta so maybe this didn’t bother me as much. Once you are inside the home and the beautiful oasis of the backyard you really don’t even notice the surrounding homes and it’s a very quiet neighborhood. The host were wonderful and extremely quick to get back to us with questions. I would highly recommend!

My family was in Windsor for a wedding. The location was close to all the venues we attended, which was perfect. The house itself provided ample room for everyone, especially the 2 and a half bathrooms. The lovely and very private backyard is a wonderful place to pause and rest between activities. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything one might need. The owners were always available and attentive to any needs we had. Their instructions were clear and covered everything. Definitely stay there again!

Very happy with the house and grounds. I would recommend it though there are a few criticisms and i expect thats what ppl want to know. No luck with tvs, went to buy a Roku that we will use for travel now. Nest thermostat had no power, we slept with the upstairs door open for cool. No top sheet? Super strange. Hard to find garage door remote, implies just inside front door. It was in back of house by back door. Lil creepy that theres a google camera seemingly pointed at the hot tub. :/ also, noisy neighbors-seems to be a rehab next door ? Guess thats why the house is for sale. Still, lovely place.

What a wonderful home, rich with history and character. The home’s beautiful renovation respects the period of the home. The amenities were perfect for our adult family of 5. The backyard was terrific and especially like how secure and private it felt. The home is centrally located and walkable to the casino, riverfront and many restaurants. Hosts were very responsive. The downside was the assisted living facility next door. Always people sitting out front but overall they were very quiet.

This was a great place to stay for the week with my family. I had a conference in Detroit every day and going back and forth was seamless. The hot-tub is a must! Grill is a bonus and appliances are very well maintained. Walk-in shower was awesome. Plenty of towels and linens provided. My son loved the bunk bed, my mom loved the spare room, and the master came with an ironing board and iron. There is a computer though didn't need it, as the wifi worked great on my devices. We felt safe and secure all week. Thanks for a great week.

Prior to deciding were to stay, I looked at the pictures of the home and I had to comment how beautifully decorated it was regardless if we were going to rent or not as we were unsure if we would be travelling due to family members surgery. When we made decision the week before to travel and the home was still available we took it. When at the home, it was even nicer than the pictures. Host, Marina was fast to respond and everything was clean and thoughtful as can be. The hot tub was huge, BBQ top notch, there's a fire pit, even an axe throwing game. The backyard was very welcoming and safe for our dog too (likewise the front yard as it is gated), just the weather did not hold out for us. Kitchen is made for gourmet chefs and we liked how the dinner table is close to the living room (as we wanted to watch the Olympics). The down side is the home is beside some sort of social housing so there are characters hanging around all the time, using the TV system wasn't easy and we had some trouble with the locks on the doors. Otherwise, this home is very comfortable and something I wished I owned so it is truly a home not a house.
