Stayed May 21, 2025The location was on a quiet street just yards from St. Charles Bay and the Gulf of America. At dusk, a small herd of cows grazed quietly in a nearby field. I counted no less than 22 deer grazing near the cottages. Late at night and early in the morning we'd see fisher-people in high waders casting lines for their next fish dinner. Inside the cottage was everything one would require for a carefree holiday. I asked about pets. Yes, they said. And they provided a pet cover for the couch, a water and food bowl, and plastic bags for my dog's after meal constitution. The cottage was CLEAN. No sand from the waterfront or yard. No dust, even atop the refrigerator and washer/dryer combo. It was modern. It was comfortable. And the hosts provided all the information in a folder to answer any questions I had about our stay there. Goose Island State Park is just minutes from the cottage. We lounged under the shade of a cabana there for two of our va-ca days, dipping into the Gulf for a cool, refreshing revival. We've stayed many places in the Rockport, Fulton, Aransas and Aransas Pass areas. This cottage was the most relaxing. Eat in. Eat out. Lounge on the deck. Watch the pelicans from a cool, dehumidified front room. Your choice. The cottage was across the bridge away from Rockport common so we shopped for our needs upon arriving, then never needed to go back to the crowds we went on vacation to escape. Worth it? We thought so. Will we return? Very likely, reads the 8-Ball.

Stayed Jan 21, 2025We were visiting the Rockport Fulton area to see Whooping Cranes in their winter homes and were totally amazed to find quite a few in the pond across the street from the house, They also flew over the house in the mornings and evenings. The house was beautiful, current and with everything we needed.Bonus, the Milky Way viewing at night.

Stayed Dec 23, 2024We had the absolute best time here! If you're into nature - we saw a great variety of shorebirds including the Whooping Cranes literally across the road. The BNB was super clean and well stocked. We especially enjoyed all of the outside amenities including an evening with a relaxing fire in the firepit (so many stars!), and cooking on the blackstone under the tiki hut. We will absolutely be back!

Stayed Oct 25, 2024My son, grandson, and myself found the check-in easy and friendly. We arrived on a Friday afternoon, unpacked and began our weekend. The view from the front porch is wonderful, water and friendly fields We saw cattle, many birds, and then drove around exploring. Watched the sunrise each morning and saw a few deer before the cattle arrived. Sunday morning we saw dolphins as we drove along the road by the water. Amazing! We spent hours on Saturday Aransas National Wildlife Refuge. From the observation towers (me the 20' and son and grandson the 40' we saw exotic birds and just the beauty of sunlight on the water. My son told us he'd been there many times, and he'd seen an alligator once. (he quickly retreated). Sunday we headed for Goose Island State Park. More beauty, and we spotted dolphins and long-legged birds again. This location is the very best place to stay if you want calm and beauty, along with interest.

Stayed May 25, 2023Very relaxing, peaceful stay for two nights. Good view of the bay, sunrise, and plenty of wildlife and cows outside. Appreciate that the tiny house had two coffee makers, a Keurig and a drip coffeepot. The hosts provided many thoughtful extras and amenities.
