THE SHACK - GOOLWA CENTRAL

Lovely cottage, clean, quiet and comfortable. Well appointed with double hotplate, toaster, bbq, air fryer and other appliances. Similarly pots, pans and cutlery well catered as well as bathroom toiletries and cleaning agents. Very homely with a nice yard. All good.

An adequate one bed, open plan room with good bathroom and general facilities. However ... to use the toilet, you must leave the room, go outside through the carport, to the toilet. Unsatisfactory, inconvenient, and potentially unsafe at night - and NOT mentioned in the property description. Both doors' security screen locks are broken. Outdoor BBQ was not clean enough to use. Dining table is 'high-set', with metal stools. Bed has bottom sheet plus a 'doona'. Overall, a disappointment, and poor value for money.

This was difficult to believe but there is an outside toilet most inconvenient . Never even doubted the toilet would be inside NOTHING STATED ON 5NE INTERNET ABOUT AN OUTSIDE TOILET , towels were well worn and thin Cutlery was an array of different types air fryer still had food in it Microwave was dirty food on plate cutlery ,plates drawers were dirty All toiletries bottles eg shampoo eye were just about empty

I liked the country aspect and the privacy. The outside loo is a bit of an inconvenience but all very clean and tidy. I enjoyed the stay.

A cosy, well-kept property with everything we needed. Everything worked as it should, the mattress was very comfortable and the decor really made it feel like a holiday. A nice walk to the beach, the shops or the Cockle Train.

Molly, my greyhound loved the open space to play. I think she was upset to leave as I don’t have a large grassed yard.A/c was good but Goolwa was chilly so only used for a short time on arrival.Only fault was the cutlery. Only two forks.Appreciated having scissors to use as I always forget to pack them.

Lovely little shack, had everything I needed. Clean and cosy. Perfect yard for my small Jack Russell who tried to escape but couldn’t. Host was friendly and check in was easy. Would definitely stay again.

Able to sit back and relax. Nice amount of lawn surrounding the property for fury friend to roam. Clean And tidy on arrival and easy instructions to follow from host.

A fantastic place to stay! The location was perfect for walking to the main street and wharf. Spotlessly clean and tidy. Everything we needed for our stay. Our doggo also thoroughly enjoyed the large enclosed yard to run around in. Bonus seeing the Cockle Train go past regularly! We will be back!

Finding reasonably priced pet friendly accomodation is always challenging but the shack nails it, so i keep coming back. My dog is always very relaxed there too. Thank you, Will stay again soon :)

A perfect home, clean and comfortable, for exploring the interesting local attractions and beautiful Goolwa Beach. A really lovely spot!

It was a great stay and helpful to extend a day at short notice. The layout of the cabin was quirky and it’s lucky we are not too fussed about tv as you had to peer over a high kitchen bench to see the quite small tv. The mattress was a bit lumpy after 3 nights and it wasn’t the greatest going outside to the toilet on a cold night. On the plus side the fully fenced yard was fantastic for our dog who just loved being able to run around the large yard freely. Great poster of the history of boat builders (we assume family) from the Goolwa area. Overall we enjoyed our stay thanks Nat

We. have stayed at The Shack on numerous occasions and loved each time we stayed. Very relaxing accommodation and close to all amenities.

Lovely abode and very restful location with a good enclosure for our retriever dog. Lovely to be able to book again in the future.

Amazing! Nat is lovely. To be able to stay away with my dog who was able to have fun in a secure yard is priceless.Everything you need there. I couldn't get the heater going, but it blew air & I think it was me & the remote.Only improvement would be inside tiolet. Thanks for having us and we hope to be back xo

Everything needed supplied, very comfy bed, 10 minute walk to the main street, easy access, nice and quiet. Woul dstay again no problem.

We love staying at The Shack. It’s cosy inside and local to Goowla town.

Ok and the dogs enjoyed it but maybe a little overpriced considering you have to go outside in the cold to go to the toilet.

Property was in short distance to main street not far fro Middleton and Pt Elliot

Cozy little shack with a rural character , easy access to amenities , 1 minute drive to hindmarsh island bridge and 7 minutes to barrage lake side .

It was our third stay there within 1 year. We will be back to enjoy the Shack and surroundings again, and so will our dog.

It was not only an enjoyable break for us but our dog could not believe the amount of fenced garden for her to play in. So wonderful. Everything was perfect for us. Wish we had booked longer. Thanks Nat. A yrue gem

Loved the property.

The Shack was a great base for our weekend with a group of people staying elsewhere in Goolwa.Place was clean and all we needed. We were out both days and sorry we didn’t get to lounge around the property a bit more. Great affordable place to stay for a restful weekend. I really enjoyed talking to your uncle over the fence Sunday morning Nat.

Comfortable residence and Convenient location .

Lovely relaxing spot, easy to walk to coffee shops and restaurants, lovely spacious yard for our dog

Plenty of room to spread out, great shower but limited hot water and the bed was really comfortable, but a bit odd go outside to use the toilet! The couch was uncomfortable and dirty and throw smelt doggy and the bedding was highly perfumed.

The shack was a delight - was bright, clean and well equipped - and very dog friendly. Big, well fenced yard and good outdoor furniture too.
