The Santa Barbara Grand with Spectacular Ocean and City Views

House was generally well appointed and very clean. It was slightly uncomfortably warm during my stay (no central AC, which is typical for the area and several atypically hot days) but cooled off readily in the evenings with the windows and fans included in the unit. Street parking was on occasion a bit challenging, however I was eventually able to find a space within a block or two. This unit does have 2 short sets of stairs and a connected unit to the side with shared side patio, but overall the outside space would be very pleasant in less hot weather. The furnishings were cozy and easy driving proximity to downtown (and the Riviera theater!) were pluses. The morning view from the front patio was gorgeous, however somewhat dampened by the lack of coffee options (Nespresso machine without pods, which most likely had been used by the previous guest since there was a bag of recycled pods in the cabinet), and it was an ideal place to retreat back to after a day of adventuring. None of these minor inconveniences outweighed this overall delightful space and probably would have been rectified by the host if I had felt the need to reach out.

We loved our stay here. It was the perfect space for us and just had such a peaceful and relaxing vibe. It is a five minute drive to anything you might need, and a 20 minute walk to the downtown Santa Barbara area. The location on the hillside made for wide open views and such a light and bright space. We did a lot of relaxing and walking the neighborhood during out stay. We would love to come back stay here again.

Great place to spend the summer!

A bit tired.

This is the second winter we have spent in this Lower Riviera home. The neighborhood has easy access to The Mission, the Riviera Theater, and State Street is not far. Fun for walkers. The view above Santa Barbara is a bonus. Just right for a couple or small family.

We had a great month in Santa Barbara. Dan was helpful and always very quick to respond to messages! Ken, who rents the other half of the house, was friendly and helpful. The view was beautiful!!! It was great to have our own laundry. (The washer and dryer are in the garage.) Parking is available on the street and we were always able to park close to the house. I wish we could have stayed longer. We would stay there again! Thanks Dan!
