The Sandcastle- Ocean Isle Beach

We had the best week at The Sandcastle! We enjoyed the heated pool/hot tub. We were very comfortable as everyone had their own room and bathrooms. The beds were very comfortable and the showers were to die for! We had an open line of communication and our issues were dealt with in a very timely and professional manner. The house is very nice. We enjoyed having 6 king beds as it was all adults there. We rented a golf cart which helped bringing gear down to the public access, which was a straight shot from the house. Two nice separate sitting areas is nice. Very nice beds and bathrooms. The bedroom on the first floor can get a little muggy during the day but the room air conditioner did ok at night. There is no bathroom on the ground floor.

There are many items missing that need to be in the kitchen for families to cook. No dishcloths, basic tools, etc. Floors were not mopped, no mop or broom in the area to use. Vents need to be cleaned for cleaner air flow.

We had a great stay and loved the peaceful cul de sac the home is on. The home is beautiful. Foster was an excellent host and helped us anytime we had a question or problem. He responded quickly and efficiently. Always showed up!

Great sized house or large groups within walking distance of the beach. Tons of balcony space (with views!) and private areas but also lots of communal gathering areas. While our stay was great, there are a couple of things that might be helpful to know: 1. There is no bathroom on the lower level, and the only bathroom accessible without going through a bedroom is on the 3rd floor. So any guest staying in the lower level bedroom will need to go up to the 3rd to use the bathroom at night. 2. The pool/hot tub is all one system. So there is no way to have a cool temperature pool with a hot temperature jacuzzi. We ran into this issue where turning on the hot tub also means heating up the pool since it's all one system. Given this, it'd be nice to allow guests to turn the system on or off since the pool ended up being too hot to use (90+ degrees) after several hours of having the hot tub on. It made it so that you essentially get one or the other rather than both.

This house is truly breathtaking, and by far the nicest house I’ve ever stayed at in OIB. There is beauty everywhere you look. From the white/clean aesthetic, the different views from every window, the cleanliness, the short walk to the beach, the most comfortable beds and attention to detail…this house is 10/10! The owner was amazing to work with and made this process smooth sailing. The outdoor area of this house is a blast and a perfect place to hang with the people you love. This house was everything and the memories made here will be cherished forever. Would recommend to anyone traveling to this special island!

Our family loves vacationing to Ocean Isle Beach. The Sandcastle home did not disappoint. Foster is a great host and very responsive any time we called. Our family will be back. We highly recommend!
