Stayed Aug 2, 2025Great Little Cottage - We had a wonderful time staying at the San’BarIDEAL location as within walking distance to everything Short Sands has to offer, The Nubble and Long Sands (longer walk)Has a front deck with grill, great for family meals or unwinding from a day at the beach with a drink. Ample family area and has board games and puzzles for family fun without turning the TV on. No central AC in the whole house, but open the sliders and the ceiling fan cools it down in minutes, window AC in the 2 bedrooms for sleeping comfortIt was super clean when we arrived, and the communications from Scott and check in process couldn't have been smootherHighly recommend

Stayed Aug 17, 2024The best part about Scott’s place is the amazing location. It’s a less than 10 minute walk to both Short and Long Sands Beaches. The pictures are pretty accurate and the house was pretty well cleaned when we arrived. A few nit-picky things to consider: air conditioners in the bedrooms were very loud. We just had to turn them on ahead of sleeping. Bring extra paper towels, toilet paper, and hand soap. Overall, we hardly spent time at Scott’s except to drop off our beach gear between outings, shower off, and sleep, so it served its purpose.

Stayed Aug 24, 2024This is a great spot, it was our second time staying there. Close walk to both beaches, it's a really great location. One thing to be aware of if you have small children is that there are several sharp corners. Other than that it's a perfect spot for a small family.

The house is well stocked and perfect for the four of us. Scott is great to deal with. Always very responsive and helpful. Can’t wait to come back next year!!

We’ve rented several properties-some repeat and some new to us….this year we decided on this adorable rental for the week and once again York, ME did not disappoint!
