The Salty Pickle - Beach front access, Pickleball Court, Pool, Hot Tub!

The Salty Pickle was perfect for our large, multigenerational family. There are many places for group gatherings but the best was the screened porch. The home offers everything needed for beach and pool activities… chairs, umbrellas, floats, games, etc, no need to bring anything more than swimsuits and perishables. If your group enjoys pickleball, the court is literally in your backyard. The kitchen had everything we needed… double fridge and two dishwashers were much appreciated and used. There are many steps within the home so the outdoor elevator came in handy especially for unloading/loading the car. The fenced dog run is a must for fur babies. The management company is the best I’ve come across in my many decades of VRBO vacation rentals… response time to texts was almost immediate. Be aware the walkway to the beach has stairs which made it difficult to use a wagon so we carried beach gear. I recommend this property without hesitation for large groups.

The home was awesome! Views that I don't think could be beat - Sunrise and sunset over the Gulf! The kitchen is amazing with 2 dishwashers and 2 ovens and it is FULLY stocked with all the appliances, glasses, dishes, etc. you could need... and the view made cooking so much better! It is a just little walk down the board walkway to the beach. The dog yard is fenced and easy access to let them out to without concern. No need to rent cornhole boards or sports equipment as the house had all that we needed. The few little things that came up were quickly handled by the property management. The only thing that was not clear on the documents was pet fee...so be sure to double check that so there aren't any last minute stressors. The weather was cold and we still spent time on the beach collecting shells and even sand dollars. The hot tub was a hit in the cold weather. This home was perfect for what we needed. We travelled with 10 adults, 1 child and 2 dogs.

I never had to worry about my pup getting loose. The home was clean and the floor plan was fantastic. All the bedrooms are on the same floor...along with the lovely screened in porch. The kitchen, dining room and den was on the top floor...with a huge deck overlooking the water. The pool isn’t very big, but big enough to enjoy! The pickleball court was brand new looking. We played every day! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

The house was stocked with everything you might need to get your vacation started and then some. The kitchen had everything anyone may need for preparing all different types of meals. The welcome package left for us was the most thoughtful/useful package ever left for us and we have rented homes at different beaches for the last 25 plus years and this was the very best one yet and it very much appreciated. We felt very welcome and at home. The Owner thought of everything. We will definitely be back.

The Salty Pickle was the BEST! We loved playing pickle ball every day…the pool was terrific and lots of room for us to spread out. Very clean and our dogs loved it. The elevator was wonderful especially for our older lab. Thank you for sharing this place. We will be back!! Check out our shirts we made for The Salty Pickle on our cricket. So much fun!!

We loved this cottage The Salty Pickle more than any place we've ever stayed on St. George Island. The cottage is beautiful, large with space for everyone and all the family felt spoiled. Great kitchen, a pool, ping pong table that we used daily, and a full size pickle ball court. Some of us lost weight while there because we played more than our usual amount of pickle ball. And of course it's a fun walk down the board path to the beach. I totally recommend this cottage for active families and for lots of entertainment. Plenty of Tv's, so everyone can watch something different. Best ever cottage!!!!

Great property with many activities

Loved the salty pickle. Everything was great except for the boardwalk to the beach. No one told us there were steps up and down numerous times. Other than the walk to the beach, the house is fabulous.!

I cannot say enough good things about everyone involved from the agents to the owners. Everyone was so kind and went out of their way to be helpful. This house is phenomenal. Everything we could have needed was provided. Two refrigerators, two dishwashers, and two ovens along with a spacious pantry made food prep and clean up for our large family so easy!! The porches were beautiful! Two fining room tables held our whole family comfortably. Beach chairs and beach toys were available, and the heated pool was perfect for the grands! We loved the hot tub, the pickleball court, and the cornhole game as well as the ping pong table. There was something to keep everyone happy and busy. On top of that the house was immaculately clean and complete with little gift bags.I cannot say enough about this vacation. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

We loved our stay at the Salty Pickle! The pickleball court is why we booked (which was AWESOME!) but we enjoyed the many other amenities as well. The management company does a great job of making you feel welcomed and taken care of and even provided a bag of essentials for the week which we really appreciated. We’ve stayed in many places on the island and this was one of our favorites. 10/10!

The remodel/renovation was beautiful. Modern but homey. Well thought out and the use of space was unbelievable. This home has EVERYTHING you could possibly need and then some! From 3 years old to 70 years old, we all loved it and had the best family vacation without being on top of each other. The boardwalk to the beach is a bit longer than I am used to, but it was very nice to walk over the dunes. The view was breathtaking from the top deck, the enclosed porch was so relaxing and the pool area was great for hanging out while playing all the games - ping pong, connect four, cornhole, pickleball. . . The pool and hottub were even cleaned during the week! Toys and Beach gear were a huge bonus for us also. The fenced in dog area is so convenient with easy access from all floors. We used the elevator to bring in all our suitcases and groceries, which saved alot of backache. We had a leak under the sink and someone was there within 20 minutes to fix it! I would highly recommend The Salty Pickle!!! 5 stars

This compound is simply amazing, and we used every amenity. The extra money needed to heat the pool was well worth it. The kitchen is well-equipped, as about 16 each evening can attest (my wife and I ate out all nites except one). The bunk house was awesome in bedding seven adults and children. The folks at Gulf Coast Beach Vacation Rentals are very responsive in meeting any challenge. This is our third year in renting properties from this group and, hopefully, not our last. The only drawback was for our us grandparents in making the somewhat of a long walk out to the beach (with plenty of steps). Overall, the property is A+++ and the folks at GCVP earned an A+, as well. Here's to 2025, Lord willing!

The kitchen has two FULL size refrigerators, two dishwashers and FOUR garbage cans. They thought of EVERYTHING. We had to leave after day 3 of our 7 day stay, due to Hurricane Helene. We will definitely consider this house again for next year.
