The Riverside House - Your North Boulder Vacation Retreat

My husband, daughter, and her 10 month old had an amazing visit in Boulder, much of which was the result of our stay at The Riverside House. The home is so welcoming and stocked better than any rental we’ve ever stayed in! Merrin is an excellent host; timely responses, and going over and above by leaving toys for the little one, etc. We hope to stay in her beautiful home again someday, if she’ll have us! The location was perfect!

The house was amazing. Merrin called to tell me about the short walk to Lucky’s market and an amazing Chinese restaurant. She told us about Wonderland Lake, which was gorgeous- saw paragliders, deer, horses. We were visiting our daughter at CU and it was so close but far enough . Now, will always stay at Merrin’s for her last 2 years!

We fully enjoyed our stay! Close to food shopping, to good restaurants, walking trails, and to downtown Boulder. Everything was excellent. We would definitely like to return!

Oh it’s an amazing place to stay. The home is clean, comfortable and well maintained. The Host was super friendly and accommodating. We felt very much at home. The neighborhood walkability is the cherry on top. Food market, cafe and coffee is a short walk away. And then the hiking trail is right around the corner. Perfect!

Great location! Nice neighborhood with easy walk to amenities and trails. Easy drive to the national park. Take the Old Fall River Road to the top at RMNP if it is open. We saw moose and elk and many amazing views on the way to 12,000 ft. Would definitely stay here again!

Took my niece on her first trip to the mountains, and Al had my first trip to Boulder. This house is older, but well maintained and in a nice neighborhood. The owner couldn’t have been more accommodating and we had everything that we needed. (We didn’t do any cooking so I can’t speak to that, but kitchen seemed well stocked.) Not knowing the area, I might have chosen a different area of town for our personal needs, but I can see how it would be ideal for visiting the university. Note: the bedrooms are both upstairs and so is the bathroom, in case you have any mobility concerns. Thanks Merrin for a nice stay!

It’s nice to be in a place that has all the little things already there for you. The owner thought of putting the little things you might forget to bring available for you to use. Having only visited Boulder once or twice before, it amazes me that in a residential area there are bunnies everywhere, and a few passing deer even crossing the street! Quiet and relaxing.

We enjoyed at our stay at The Riverside House. Great location with a little shopping center to walk to and easy to get to University of Colorado. House was very comfortable for 3 or us to stay in for graduation week!

House was great, beautiful back deck, awesome kitchen, beds were comfortable, everything was clean. Would highly recommend!

This is a lovely home in North Boulder. You are a block away from Wonderland Park. The place was very clean and we enjoyed our time here.

Cute, clean and cozy house in a beautiful quiet neighborhood. Merrin the host was very responsive to our needs.The extra amenities are beyond the normal house rental and very much appreciated. We will definitely stay again the next time we are in Boulder.

I've been visiting Boulder every 6-8 weeks for a year now since my daughter moved there from the east coast. By far this is my favorite place to stay! The owner was prompt to reply and thoughtful in communication. The property was perfect for our needs. And the location was ideal, being less than a mile from my daughter. We will for certain look to stay again and again.

Our family’s summer trip to Boulder would not have been the same without the experience of staying in the Riverside house. Not only is the property beautiful and inviting from the outside, but comforting and comfortable on the inside too. We particularly loved the back deck where we could see tomato plants growing and hear the babble of the tiny brook that runs right below the property. My daughter and husband loved playing the piano, we loved the board games, and the amply-stocked pantry made us feel like guests instead of renters. I loved looking at all the books they had, from children’s to nutrition to sustainability. The pottery was beautiful and unique. The crowning glory for me was the access to Wonderland Lake and the Boulder Bike trail, which was a .2 mile walk from the neighborhood. I am a runner and having access to this trail and the lake path made my mornings delightful. The market, also .2 miles away, provided everything we needed, food and treat wise. I love this place and will always remember the peace, joy, and tranquility it brought while staying there.

The house is clean, spacious and very well equipped. Wonderful large kitchen, bathroom supplied with lovely soaps and lotions. Pretty, quiet neighborhood with trees and birdsong. A short walk to Wonderland lake. We had fun watching the paragliders swooping down from the hills. Altogether a terrific stay.
