Panacea, Florida
Perfect family vacation home with private pool. This is your own little paradise within Florida’s beautiful nature. Go fishing, boating, for a swim or simply relax. The Prince of Tides provides all the amenities needed for your family’s getaway.
Outstanding house for a visit to the Big Bend. Lots of amenities. Countless opportunities for hiking, biking and kayaking in the part of Florida with very few people (a huge plus for us). Great communication with the owners before and during our stay.
We enjoyed a very nice 4 week vacation at the forgotten Coast. The center piece of our holiday was the Prince of Tides. Our host was most responsive the few times we needed to be in touch. The house had everything and more that was promised in the description and the pictures. The location was awesome. So private and tranquil. Hardly saw people in the neighborhood. The view to the lake was a beauty We walked around it in the mornings until we had an encounter with one of the two alligators we spotted. After that we opted to walk just through the neighborhood. The peacefulness of the marsh from the dock behind the the community pool was priceless. We all enjoyed the wrap around porch of the house. A few comfortable seat cushions could enhance the experience. The pool was tempting but the temperatures just to cold to enjoy it. A nice lounge by the pool would had been nice. The beaches were roughed and beautiful to walk. Hardly any people there. . Shopping needed to be panned as the nearest decent grocery store is app. 25 minutes away. Panacea does not have much to offer. The highlight was the fresh seafood that could be bought. We loved our vacation and certainly keep the Prince of Tides in our minds for future holidays.
We were a small family group visiting for a funeral. The house was convenient to our in-laws. The house is very comfortable and quiet. The surroundings our tranquil. The sunrises are stunning and the stars at night beautiful. It is convenient to water access points, fishing, and other areas of the Florida's Forgotten Coast. Would gladly stay there again when visiting our family.
If you are looking to get away for a relaxing stay, this is the place! Such a quiet area with so much natural beauty. The internet is solid enough to WFH, the pool is perfect, there's a path that goes around the lake, the porch is a wonderful place to enjoy the sunset and a cocktail. The beds and couch were so so soooooo comfortable, and everything is well stocked (towels, soap, linens, kitchen stuff, etc.) If you are into exploring, there are plenty of things to do in the area. This is a great place for families, as there is plenty of space to spread out, but also a lot of togetherness amenities like a Wii, puzzles, satellite TV with ALL the channels, and a wonderful selection of books. This is definitely on the top of my list for places to unwind.
The Prince of Tides has become our favorite place to get away and relax. Our family 4 adults and two children just love it. The men went fishing with a local guide and caught around 20 red fish kept 2 and we had a great fish dinner. The kids and ladies got to relax around the pool and enjoy the aquarium and local beaches. There are plenty of great restaurant if you don’t feel like cooking. We are already looking forward to our next visit. Love It!
This was our second family vacation at Prince of Tides. The area is very quiet and the house is well equipped to meet all your needs. We had a very relaxing week. Fishing and kayaking at Outter Lake, kayaking at Levy Bay, fishing from the dock, fishing in the lake at the house, and relaxing by the pool. Saw small alligators in the lake this year. We enjoyed our stay and hope to return again.
The home was beautiful and we had plenty of room. It was wonderful to have our own private pool.
Beautiful home and property. Sabine was quick to respond to communications. We loved sitting out on the porch having coffee, watching the birds and listening to the sounds of nature. Great restaurants nearby!
Away from it all with so many amenities! This is a house our kids ask to repeat...beach, state parks, and a pool in the back yard, with plenty of wildlife to watch over the lake (also in the back yard)! The house is beautiful AND comfortable with enough room for a large family. We'll be scheduling our return!
We had never been to Panacea, Florida before but we enjoyed our visit. The home was perfect for our group and we all enjoyed the pool after the beach. We did take the time to drive 1 hour to St. George Island and we really enjoyed that. The drive was BEAUTIFUL. If you are into fishing this is really the town for you. I wouldn’t recommend swimming in the area because of the natural habitat but the drive to where we liked to swim was so lovely we didn’t mind.
Beautiful home with lots of space and privacy. Great for families. Second time staying here. We love this place.
We have 5 children, ages 3-11. The location is perfect, the price is appropriate, and the house floor plan is very comfortable. We had friends visit all three nights and it’s perfect for entertaining young and old alike. Of all the places we’ve stayed on the forgotten coast this ranks right up there.
This place is a true gem. Located on a beautiful lake and down the street from the bay, this place has everything you could need for a relaxing vacation. The pool felt great after a long day. Check out Angelo's restaurant down the street for great local seafood.
