Great sunrise view from dining area and decks. Easy beach access.

The house was everything you need to have a peaceful, fulfilling, restorative stay. The ocean is only a 45 second walk away beautiful trees surround the property. We enjoyed watching the sunrise every morning from the beach next to the house and watching the sunset every evening over the bay and through the pine trees, while mullet jumped and plovers peeped and dolphins gracefully swam at Bald Point. A wonderful place to rest and return to yourself and find peace.

Wonderful fully stocked kitchen and living spaces, everything we needed was there. Very beach cottage vibe to decorations. Nice variety of options for enjoying the beach atmosphere - upper deck, lower deck and screened lanai under the house. This was a perfect vacation place for relaxing when not enjoying the attractions and restaurants in the nearby areas. We found ourselves awake every morning to enjoy the sunrise.

Excellent property, exactly as advertised, in a beautiful, rustic location. Excellent beach view and nice beach. Just understand, this is not a groomed beach in a resort location--you are in a neighborhood 15 minutes away from everything. This simple but lovely property, in excellent shape, was just what the doctor ordered to do nothing. The host was a great communicator and immediately responded to our queries. I highly recommend this property.

The house was very comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. Everything was clean and we especially enjoyed the screened in area under the house. The sunrise views were very accurate and one of my wife's favorite things. We even got to see a rocket taking off from Cape Canaveral. The beach toys and other supplies were a plus when our grandkids stopped by to visit. We are already planning our next visit. Thanks Kevin!

This trip was perfect for our family. We wanted to get away from busy life and this property was the perfect get away. The house was clean and well appointed. The owners have put a lot of thought into making this home comfortable and providing all the little extras. Kevin kept up good contact with us and made sure we had everything we needed. He was very welcoming and informative about the area. The view from the porch is perfect. The sunrises were beautiful. There was basically no traffic on the beach. I saw one or two other people out on the beach all week. Most of the time, we were alone. This location was great for us. My son loves to fish and I love to sit and look at the water. The wildlife is something to see. We saw deer on the beach. We spotted dolphins, a sting ray and a shark. The mullet were jumping and several blue crabs just walked up on shore. If your goal is to swim, this might not be the place but for us it was great.

We were looking for a trip to fully unplug & relax and we found it! The hosts were very welcoming and genuinely want their guests to have a great time. The kitchen has everything you might need and then some. We would definitely consider staying again.

This was our family’s third consecutive year at Snail Pace, and we’re never disappointed. You can always tell Kevin and Barbara know the importance of providing a clean, inviting environment for guests. Even though the temps were hot, the view was beautiful and the town is so quaint. No crowds, just calm breezes with relaxing waves. Kevin checked in just to make sure we were good and all of we needed anything. I also love the extra touch of oj and champagne for mimosas!

This home is very accomodating. Kevin and Barbara thought of everything that we could have needed. Even down to the hairdryers. The view is spectacular from the upper porch to the lower deck. Kevin is a gracious host. He checked in several times by text just to make sure everything was good and we did not need anything. They even decorated for Christmas before we arrived. Thanks again for the wonderful stay 8n your home.

Wonder place, very clean, had all the necessities for a family and great location!

Our family stayed July 4th week of 2024. If you want a quiet beach trip full of wildlife this is an amazing beach house. It is close to Wakulla Springs for a great day trip. Also, close to a few great state parks one minutes from this house. The house itself was fully furnished with many extras already there such as laundry detergent, soaps, paper towels, and such. We, of course, bought what we used to get the next guest started.

The home was beautiful and in the perfect spot. Very safe area. Kevin was very helpful and quick to respond with any questions we had. The house had everything we needed. We will definitely be back.

This was our second stay, and we love it here. I hesitate to review it, so no one else gets the desire to book when we want it, but Kevin as a host and the home are both fantastic.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Snail’s Pace. It was a well kept home with everything you need to have a relaxing stay. Although it was smaller than other homes we have rented, it had everything we needed to cook meals and feel comfortable. The front deck was the perfect place to watch the sunrise and my kids enjoyed spending time in the screened porch in the evenings. The twin bedroom did stay warmer than the other rooms but we grabbed a fan from the dollar store and that helped a lot. The beach was never crowded and we loved walking along the shore in the mornings and evenings. I would definitely stay here again.
