Description

The Pines is a classic Maine cottage that combines the charm of a 90 year old home with updated, modern amenities.

The large kitchen opens up to the cathedral ceiling living and dining space. A gas fireplace in the living room keeps you warm on chilly evenings. The immaculate kitchen is only 6 years old and fully equipped with luxurious quartz countertops, all the cookware, dinnerware and gear you could want, fit for a chef.

Follow the lovely painted hardwoods upstairs and you’ll see the 2 bedrooms. The primary bedroom has a queen size bed and private en-suite half bathroom. The guest room has 2 beds: a queen bed, and a twin bed.

The first floor has a full bathroom, with a shower (no tub in the cottage), and washer & dryer.

Entertainment options are aplenty: there is a smart Roku TV in the guest room as well as the living room (just bring your log-on!). We have tons of books for adults and kids alike, board games, playing cards and more.

There are so many magical outdoor living spaces to enjoy a meal, glass of wine, or cup of coffee overlooking the lovely territorial view.

Unexpected extras: a griddle, waffle maker, small coolers to take to the beach, an espresso machine (in addition to the Keurig and coffee maker), crockpot, rice maker, beach towels, local Maine books and literature, and so much more. The house is perfectly equipped to stay for a weekend or a month!

The Pines is a peaceful and idyllic place to soak up the glorious summer and Fall days in Downeast Maine.

The cottage is beautiful and spacious downstairs with a very well stocked kitchen in terms of storage, appliances, kitchen gadgets and counter space; the kitchen and living area are perfect, as is the back deck. The bedrooms and bathrooms are also beautifully renovated. Location is convenient to all of Deer Isle and local Co-Op. Absolutely as advertised.
