The trip from New York City is either by car (1.5 hours), or by rail. Wassaic station is 20 minutes away and it is the last stop on the Metro-North Harlem line.

In the fall, the autumn foliage and sparkling blue skies of the season are in full display at this location. This listing is ideally located for visitors to the Hotchkiss School. For the intrepid, the Appalachian trail is very close for a pleasant day hike. If you are a skier, within a 20-minute drive you will find skiing at Mohawk, and if you head north, Butternut, and Catamount are also a great weekend choices in nearby southwest Massachusetts.
