The Penny House: CLEAN with garage, one block from trails & stores

Cute house and Very Clean. Had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Convenient location as we were working on my parent's house in the local area. Would definitely stay again when we are vacationing in the area.

We were a small group of men snowmobiling in the area! This property was in a great location! Close to everything we needed! The property was very clean and well kept! Definitely will be back!

The penny house was very clean, comfortable.Located perfectly for our snowmobile trip.House is located as described one block fromtrail access, gas station which also has an iga store attached, a cafe named Chars, excellent! also a couple of bar and grill establishments. Can not go wrong here, trails were excellent to superb!! We will be back... Thank you Sandy....

Our snowmobile trip was so nice because of the Penny House! Both driveways are deep enough for trucks and trailers with ramps. The garage was useful for grilling and sleds if the need arises. One block from the trail that skirts the highway. The house is bright and fresh. The hostess was wonderful, and very responsive with messages. Would recommend to anyone visiting the U.P.

Sandy is the best host. Her house is perfectly cozy. Have stayed multiple times and will be back again.

Had a great snowmobile trip with the guys....the Penny house fit 4 of us comfortably and Sandy was a great host giving updates on the weather before we came up....the garage came in use as well....thanks again...

Great place to stay! The garage would be really nice to use in the winter snowmobiling or working on anything really. It was nice to have dry wood available to have a bonfire. The house was very clean and neat with plenty of room to park a truck and trailer. Only thing you need to be aware of is that it is on the highway and you cannot legally ride a SxS the 1/8th of a mile to the trail per the county sheriff. We trailered to the co-op 1/4 mile down the road which was easy enough. Lots of people just roll the dice, but we didn't want to take any chances. Would definitely stay here again.

Great little house for 2 couples. So close to the trail and gas for our SxS trip. Had plenty of parking area for our truck and trailer, we even got to see the northern lights! Sandy was great with communicating we would definitely stay again!

House was exactly as advertised, clean and comfortable and with everything you need. Sandy was responsive and helpful and I’d recommend staying here to anyone. It’s a good base for the Ottawa National Forest as well as the Porcupines.

Great house that was the perfect size for our family (2 adults, 1 teen, 1 kid). Conveniently and centrally located in the western UP. Loved it!Note: A/C is 2 window units on the first floor. Worked great for a house this size. Fans were provided for upstairs bedrooms.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at the Penny house! The Host was very responsive and the house was super clean and well stocked. The grill out in the backyard and the seating by the fire pit was great! It was also really nice to have access to the garage. The location is perfect for whatever activity you choose. We will DEFINITELY be coming back!

We came home to the UP to visit family and show off our first grand baby. Penny house was centrally located between family members so we hosted a bbq for everyone to meet her. Great place to stay, walking distance to restaurants and store.

The property was easy to locate, check in was easy, and the house was so clean! Enough space for all of us and our things. Only AC units were downstairs but it cools down at night upstairs with the fans and windows.

The house was clean warm and comfortable. Nice bedding and plush towels. The kitchen had everything we needed. The front and back porch area were nice to hang and store gear. There are 2 driveways that were well plowed out with room to easily park a truck and 30 ft trailer, a truck and 10 ft trailer and 7 snowmobiles. It snowed everyday and each day a tractor and loader came and removed the pile of snow left by the snowplow at the end of the driveway which was really great. Very close to trails, gas and groceries. Sandy was quick to respond to questions we had. Sandy set up and extra roll away bed for us and our family of 7 was very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend the Penny House for your stay.

This house has been remodeled and we loved everything about it. The owners are wonderful. Sandy responded promptly to all our questions. Definitely renting from them again.

We enjoyed our stay and the home was very clean, comfy and cozy! This was our second time staying here and love the central location between Snow River, Powderhorn, and Porkies. Also having the grocery store just around the corner makes it very convenient for those couple of food items we forgot to pack. We will be back again!

Very pleased with the stay.

Very clean house. Accurately described. Being able to use the garage to park the snowmobiles was helpful. Someone plowed the driveways in a timely manor. Only down fall was the busy road and backing in the snowmobile trailer.
