Patti is tue sweetest Host I’ve ever met. She’s so responsive and respectful. Her places is one of the most beautiful stays I’ve had. I recently took my other half in a vacation out there and Patti made sure everything was setup and perfect. Like always!!!

Highly recommended! The Horse Silo is a masterclass in small-space design. Everything felt intentional and high-quality, including the bed - which was firm (exactly how I like it) and incredibly comfortable. I also met Gary, one of the owners, whose local tips are as top-tier as the gardening he does between the silos.A few atmospheric heads-ups for future guests:The Acoustic Experience: Being in a metal structure is charming, but when a heavy storm rolls in, the rain hitting the silo makes it feel like you’re a stray kernel inside a popcorn popper. It’s a very immersive, high-volume experience!The 6:30 AM Enthusiast: There is a neighbor with a white car and an aftermarket exhaust who is very proud of his engine. He serves as a mandatory weekday alarm clock at 6:30 AM sharp, followed, in my experience, by a brief train cameo.Even with the early wake-up call, this is a unique and well-appointed spot - definitely a strong contender for a rebook.

The Painted Silos were an excellent choice for our short visit to the Fort Sill area! My girls and I had a great stay; the location is convenient for everything that we wanted to do, but still quiet and felt like a charming getaway. Gary is awesome as a host…..we had everything we needed and the property is so comfortable and clean. So much to do and see in the Wichita Mountains… we did not want to leave!

This was our first, non hotel room, stay. These Silo's are wonderful. Comfortable, aka just the right amount of space for a few days stay. About 15 minutes to Fort Sill for graduation. Awesome

This place was so awesome. So cool how they created this hidden gem. Owners were super friendly and accommodating. Everything was so clean and organized.

This is the only place we stay when traveling to Elgin to visit family. Patti goes above and beyond to ensure I’ll have the best experience.

The silos are great! The owners have done an amazing job on them. The interior is so well thought out and beautifully done. I was fascinated by the story of how they came to be.The town is small, but near a variety of interesting places. Glen and Patti are full of information about trails to hike in the Wichita Wildlife Refuge, good restaurants, Medicine Park, and other places of interest. You can't make a mistake at this accommodation.

We stayed at The Painted Silos while attending our son’s Family Day and graduation at Fort Sill. The location was perfect for our trip, and the property had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The host was very accommodating, making sure we felt welcome and taken care of during an important time for our family. We truly appreciated the hospitality and would recommend The Painted Silos to anyone visiting the area.

Every last detail about this lovely silo has been so carefully thought out. The owners got everything right, & then some! We also loved their proximity to local hangouts and restaurants. We appreciated the gardens & the front porch sittin’. I’m not sure if the evening chat with the owner is part of the charm of the location, but it was one of our favorite highlights! All of the walking passersby waved & were as equally friendly. We will definitely be back & our kids will have to experience as well!

We were amazed at how clean and nice the inside was! It was such a peaceful and relaxing stay we didn't want to leave!

These properties were perfect for our group! The Owners thought if everything! They are clean, spacious, and wonderfully put together! We will be making this an annual trip to this little jewel!

We had the best stay at this adorable painted silo.It was a unique and cozy spot — beautifully decorated with thoughtful touches throughout. The beds were super comfy, and the place had absolutely everything we needed for our stay. The bag of ice in the freezer and extra snacks were a nice touch that we didn't know we needed!The location was perfect for exploring Fort Sill and the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge — both just a short drive away. Communication with the host was excellent from start to finish, and they went above and beyond by offering to ship back an important item we accidentally left behind, which we really appreciated.All around, it was a wonderful experience. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a nice place to stay in the area!

This is a neat place to stay. Something a little fun and different from staying in a hotel. The hosts are excellent to work with. I highly recommend!
