Great place! Good location for east access to Lake Superior. And 3 restaurants close. Clean. Well stocked kitchen. Comfortable beds. Lots of room for a group
Absolutely charming place. The hosts were wonderful to communicate with. The place had everything you would need. We were there for a NMU orientation, so my daughter and I didn’t have a ton of time to explore nearby. She wants our family to go stay there with us, so we can explore more. I would definitely recommend!
Old corner store converted into a beautiful little retreat. Great access to the area. Would recommend to families and groups of friends.
The property is adorable and was cleaned very well. They had everything stocked eons expectation and their home/lodgings were very clean and well-kept. Every time I asked a question, they were very quick to respond and we were located close to a lake Superior beach as well as right by Lake Independence, which was beautiful.
Truly a wonderful experience. My wife and I stayed with our two kids (11 and 12) and had plenty of room. Well thought out spaces. Even a reading nook! It was actually our yearly anniversary trip where we come up to different parts of the UP to waterfall hunt, read, relax, hike, and check out the local places. The decorations and overall feel of The Outpost is just totally cool. We appreciated lots of little extras that many other hosts don’t bother with. For example, extra coffee filters, spices, games, books, and so on. Really perfect location as well. We spent a few days at Squaw Beach and walked down to the three restaurants in town. Just minutes from some of the other points of interest in the Huron Mountains. Loved the patio and spent every night out there some! Would definitely come back!
Great proximity to hiking, bicycling, and beach going. Cute duplex, with lots of charm! Clean and has the extras (kitchen staples, shampoo, conditioner, etc.) that you may need when vacationing. Communication with the host was easy, and questions were answered quickly.
We had an absolute blast staying here. The property is huge, the beds are comfy, and Brianne was amazing as a host. She responded IMMEDIATELY whenever I had a question, and made our stay the best VRBO stay we have ever had. There is an awesome firepit in the backyard we enjoyed every night, and a bar across the street with some neat history, that serves excellent Pizza and Hamburgers...Give this place a go, you will not be disappointed.
We enjoyed our short trip to the Marquette area to mountain bike and hike the local trails. This was a great place to unwind at the end of the day. The setting was not as pretty as I had hoped, but the interior more than made up for it. Clean, comfortable beds, big kitchen, and nicely decorated.
We had a great experience at this rental! Check in instructions we clear. The unit is cozy and warm with tasteful decor. The kitchen was well equipped and where you will like spend your time! Perfect layout with an island and patio door to a nice outdoor space. Perfect amount of bed linens and towels. Even have beach towels for use. The location is Perfect! we enjoyed a beverage at the lumberjack bar, saw the sunrise at Perkins Park, And hiked up Thomas Rock! We would love to come back!
Nice homey place. Mattresses were soso. Fast response to a minor problem. We would stay again.
We would definitely stay here again. The house was fantastic.
