The property is surrounded by unspoilt countryside, overlooking the River Wear and the Weardale Railway Line. The property has been tastefully refurbished and is full of character and charm. Stayed May 15, 2025The greeting was welcoming and was shown around then left to enjoy our stay. Love the kitchen and dinning area, meant we could cook and still enjoy and be apart of the conversations. Would we stay there again? Stayed Sep 25, 2021This is a lovely cottage with everything in it you will need whilst staying there. Owner met us and showed us around. Plenty of things to amuse the children with in the garden. Loved our stay here.

Stayed Dec 29, 2017Just returned after spending New Year at the property and we had a lovely time. Val was very welcoming. The cottage itself was spotlessly clean very comfortable and had everything you could need. The kids also enjoyed the summerhouse with the pool table and all the Christmas lights outside and Christmas tree in the cottage added a lovely touch. We would definitely recommend
