The Leemhuis, a wonderful home in a fantastic location on the highest dune

The Leemhuis stands in a beautiful, private, sunny garden, right on the edge of the dunes. It is comfortable, attractive and luxuriously furnished with a large living room, complete kitchen and a spacious bedroom with a beautiful Indonesian four-poster bed. In the bathroom there is a toilet, sink and shower. In front of the house is a spacious, sunny terrace surrounded by greenery and next to the house is a lawn.

The Leemhuis is a detached house. The cozy holiday village of Schoorl iswithin walking distance. Here you will find many terraces and restaurants. Schoorl is also great for daily shopping.

From Het Leemhuis you walk into the Schoorl dune area: forest, dune and heathland, through which numerous hiking trails run. Do you prefer to cycle Paved cycle paths have been laid out throughout the dune area. For the sporty mountain bikers, there is the spectacular mountain bike route of 15 km long! A beautiful bike ride will take you to the beach at Schoorl. You can also easily reach the beach by car. The beaches of Hargen or Camperduin are close by.

The bus stops just 2 minutes from Het Leemhuis. This will take you to the center of the historic city of Alkmaar in 20 minutes. Wandering along the monuments, canals, shops, museums and terraces you will be surprised at the beauty of the old center.
Alkmaar is known as the Cheese Town: the world famous cheese market has been held on Friday mornings from April to September for centuries. A true North Holland tradition that brings a lot of excitement and cosiness. Every Friday morning from early April to early September there is the cheese market. ten to half past twelve the cheese carriers on the Waagplein get to work. Visitors from all over the world come to see the spectacle. The colorful hats of the cheese wearers, the hand of the cheese traders and the lively market around it make a visit to the Alkmaar cheese market a perfect day out. The cozy Bergen is within cycling distance, about 30 minutes. Here you can shop to your heart's content, relax on one of the many terraces and have a great lunch or dinner.
