1 Bathroom: For over 60 years, the large families used the existing outhouse and wash tub. A (Pink) bathtub was added to the home around 1950 and a few years later a toilet and small sink were added.
Today, we take for granted large and spacious bathrooms or more than one bathroom in a home, these were luxuries not easily afforded back then. Someday we will make a luxurious bathroom for our lovely Cottage, until then, you get to experience it the way it has been for the past 70 years.
Bed linens and bath towels are provided for all guests.

Our stay was miserable, after renting property that was advertised as having air conditioning for the 1st week of August, upon check in discovered that only 1 bedroom downstairs had a window unit. So the entire downstairs was stifling hot, and impossible to enjoy. The upstairs loft area was too big to cool with its window unit, and made sleep impossible even directly in front of window unit. Had it been fall or spring, it might have been ok but summer there was miserable. Upon checkout we were charged for and accused of damages we didnt cause, and VRBO was totally worthless and lack of customer support was shocking. Never again.
Our grandkids loved the swing and the loft bedrooms. Super convenient to downtown. Thanks for an enjoyable stay!
We enjoyed our short stay on this property. It was just our family of 6 so we had enough room. It should be noted that there is only one bathroom, no half baths. It was a minor inconvenience. The house is well stocked with things you'd need. If you are staying in the summer months, get the ac units going upstairs when you arrive because it can take a while to cool the rooms off, especially the loft. I always felt the owners were there to help should I have needed it.
Absolutely adorable little house and perfect upstairs for kids sleepovers!
We came down with some friends and spent a lovely weekend at the property. We had a great time biking around town and exploring. The house had enough room for everyone and everything was well organized and stocked. We would love to come back again.
When you first roll up with ten people you can help but think theres no way we'll all fit and you'll be wrong. The two bedrooms downstairs are literally from another century but still big enough and very comfortable. The two rooms upstairs are huge and perfect for a big group of kids. The kitchen table easily seats 8 adults. Everything is comfortable and completely charming. Go for a walk around the town. Worth the visit
We loved the property and the family feel of the place! We’ll done!
The house was beautiful and clean . Every need for inside was taken care of The yard was disappointing, no grass, just weeds. But the tree rope swing was a hit !
