Spring City, Utah
Experience the simple life in one of Spring City's original pioneer homes. The Stone Cottage will take you back in time, and remind you what is truly important. Just a short one hour drive from Provo (or one hour, forty five min. from Salt Lake) yet you feel like you are worlds away.
Built in 1860, it was one of the first stone homes in the community. The mason was paid “a young steer and 2 dollars a day” to lay the thick stone walls, and the cottage has retained its sense of history and permanence. Yet it has been recently restored, and enjoys all the modern conveniences that we expect today.
With the original wood plank floors and 2-foot thick stone walls, you will be charmed by the history in the cozy living room. It is like stepping back in time, and will make for a memorable stay in one of the loveliest towns in the country.
Enjoy our small, but hardworking kitchen, which is fully equipped for cooking delicious meals for your small group. You will find everything you need to make your stay comfortable, so you can focus on exploring the town, hiking & rock climbing Maple or Spring City Canyons, Golfing at Palisades Park, or taking part in the community events.
The cottage has one large bedroom, a bathroom and a washer & dryer for your convenience. It is the perfect size for a couple's get-away, or for a small family - and has all you need for your perfect escape. Relax, breath and take in this beautiful historic town, the art, and all the charm it has to offer.
The Stone Cottage is one of three homes at Spring Farm - for large groups, rent them together, or find our Spring Farm website for more information.
Spring City is a very quaint town and the Stone Cottage fit in very well. The property had everything I could want in a place to stay. I would stay there again.
Such a cute, historic cottage. The town is adorable and we would have loved to try the little cafe but didn’t get a chance to. We will hopefully get to go back.
This rental is perfectly described in its description. It’s beautifully clean and comfortable . I particularly liked the thoughtful decor and amenities. The town is a treasure with lovely dinner and stores. Highly recommended this spot.
I'm a little reluctant to review this and attract more visitors. I'd like to keep this as my own secluded spot to stay. Spring City is such a charming town, it feels like you're away from the busyness of the world and you can just enjoy a quaint spot. The house is charming, rich in history and perfect in every way. We felt like turning on the TV would corrupt the experience, it's that kind of peaceful.
Spring City is truly an oasis and such a great place to leave the stress of the city behind. The people are friendly and welcoming and the community of artists and the restoration of the beautiful pioneer homes is just amazing. To be able to stay in a beautifully restored, tastefully decorated, comfortable, clean home was a blessing. We were able to particpate in Heritage Day and it exceeded our expectations. We can't wait to go back. Thank you Holly for sharing your cottage with us! We highly recommend this VRBO property.

We enjoyed staying at this darling home right in the heart of Spring City. This little town is so much fun to explore and staying in a home with history added to the charm!
My husband and I wanted to relax from our stressful routine and this place and city was the perfect place. The place is very cozy and cute and made us feel home.
Really comfortable 160 year old renovated cottage in historic Spring City UT. Very relaxing, cute town. Loved it.
We were in town for a wedding and the home was perfect for our stay! Very comfortable bed and pillows. Plenty of towels and blankets. Updated nest heater made the property cozy almost immediately. Loved the games and books and the thoughtful extras!
Holly was fabulous to work with. We are really tall people and got a kick out of ducking through doorways! Thanks for the experience!
The stone cottage was a wonderful experience. Very quiet and such a cute community with many beautiful historic homes to see. We loved laying out on the grass when it got dark and looking at the millions of stars that were visible. The home was very clean and well preserved. A very comfortable place for a visit.
