A PREMIER HOME IN THE HERITAGE VACATION HOMES COLLECTION.
As we were remodeling The House at Arch Cape, we had a hunch it was going to be a special place. Even still, we’ve been overwhelmed (and overjoyed) by the positive response from our guests! Favorite features include the chef-quality kitchen, hillside ocean views, and local art throughout, including a spectacular 10-ft. whale sculpture in the living area. Guests also love Arch Cape itself, which is less crowded than (but easily accessible to) the nearby beach towns of Cannon Beach and Manzanita.
Bring a whole pack of your favorite people—there’s room for 14!—and start collecting memorable moments on the Oregon coast. Multi-generational family reunions, in particular, find the perfect setting here. Begin the day with a sunny pancake breakfast in the state-of-the-art kitchen (with Wolf range, Viking fridge and two Miele dishwashers). Then end it with stargazing on the deck to a soundtrack of the ocean.
In fact, the Pacific is the backdrop for your entire vacation at The House at Arch Cape. Say “hello” to the sea as soon as you step inside—the two-story ocean view through the Great Room windows is one of the best welcomes in the world.
Just to the north is Hug Point State Park with its playground of beach, tide pools, caves, waterfalls and hiking trails to explore.
Back at your beach house, paintings, photographs, sculptures, and wood carvings showcase local talent (and local vistas) and bring the beauty of the area indoors. To complement the art, we used a light coastal color palette and a rich blend of woods, metals and fabrics in the décor.
The ocean views only get better out on the deck, where you’ll find a built-in, covered BBQ grill, prep station, and plenty of seating.
Work retreats find a great setting here, too. Brew a pot of coffee (or use the Keurig) and meet at the huge, rustic-minimalist dining table. You can also make use of the business center, which features a TV monitor with Bose sound for sharing, plus a wireless printer (also great for printing boarding passes). The loft also has a large TV for projecting slides, and feel free to move the furniture around to suit your needs!

Beautiful home, beautiful area, wonderful host!! Made wonderful family memories.
We have about 14 women (all related, sisters, in-laws etc) we have been doing this annual retreat for about 25 years and love it! This house was perfect for us. So close to the beach and Cannon Beach! Very clean and nicely decorated. Already booked next years getaway here again!
Beautiful home with amazing views and great for a multi family reunion.
We had our whole family together for the first time in two years and this house was perfect for our group of 8! Beautiful views, lots of space and clean. There were a couple small issues which Lara helped resolve. My only complaint is cleck-in isn’t until 5 pm. I’ve never stayed at a place with such a late check in time. We were all exhausted from early morning flights and really eager to get checked in but we had a few hours to kill. Besides that, it was a great home in a nice area. Arch Cape is our favorite area to stay!
This house was perfect for my annual family vacay. There were enough bedrooms & bathrooms for everyone, beautiful house with all the amenities and a great view. The beach was ideal! The location was close to fun activities and restaurants. We hated to leave and want to return!
Our family of 14 gather at the Oregon coast each year and have stayed in many VRBO homes . We all agree that the Arch Cape home is our favorite. Spacious, clean, and wonderfully updated along with perfect proximity to the almost private beach. We would certainly choose this house again.
Great house
We were a party of 8, ranging in age from 16-50. We traveled to Arch Cape from the Mt St Helen’s area. On our way to Arch Cape, we stopped in Astoria and found the Goonies house and jail. Then we traveled down the coast to Ecola State Park and followed the Crescent Trail down to Crescent Beach. The views were incredible, and we saw adolescent elk munching on grass and a puffin flying into a hole on one of the rocks. We hiked back to our car and took the short drive to Arch Cape. The home is spectacular. Definitely luxury, with a gourmet kitchen, beautiful bathrooms, and plenty of comfortable seating and beds, views that take your breath away, and it is just a short walk to the beach. On the beach, we saw sea anemones, fish, puffins, and a starfish. We’re from the east coast, so suffice to say it’s like no other beach we’ve walked. When we arrived, we had trouble with the lock. The owner was quick to respond and assist. Overall, we would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend.
The view as you enter the foyer is astounding! Three generations shared a week long stay at Lara’s lovely home which is put together so beautifully. Well appointed kitchen, more than adequate towels and bedding for a large gathering. Our group of nine especially enjoyed being able to share meal times at a table large enough to seat all of us. The ping pong table was an added bonus. Lara was extremely responsive to all inquiries. On our next visit to the northern Oregon coast we can’t imagine looking elsewhere!
This house was perfect for our large family. Plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the time! Kitchen was well equipped to prepare and serve food for us all!
Staying at Lara’s home in Arch Cape was an absolute dream! Lara was incredibly responsive and kind, making the entire process seamless. The home itself was truly inviting and cozy, with beautiful decor and all the amenities we needed for a comfortable and memorable stay. The location was perfect for exploring the coast, with breathtaking views just steps away. We can't wait to go back and stay here again in the future.
The House of Arch Cape was perfect for our family Christmas vacation! The house allowed us to connect, share old and new memories, as well as relax! I highly recommend this property to everyone and anyone!
Eleven family members, aged 14 to 66, gathered at Arch Cape to celebrate Thanksgiving. The home is all that was advertised. The two ovens and two dishwashers, made prep and clean up for our big meals easy and convenient. The bedrooms were all large and very comfortable, allowing everyone their own space. Even though the weather was extraordinarily nice for November, we enjoyed the huge gas fireplace every single day. And night. It added so much ambiance. Our German exchange student had never seen the ocean, and when those window shades went up, his eyes got huge. The view is phenomenal! The only “negative” would be the parking. We all drive SUVs so the driveway was a little tight. However, with the ocean that close and the view so spectacular, we didn’t feel the need to drive anywhere! I would highly recommend this home at Arch Cape!
Ours was a group of 10 retired RNs, ages 75-80. The house was beautiful, well stocked, had everything we needed. Loved the two ovens and two dishwashers! More bedrooms on the main level would have better suited some, but we knew what was available when we rented it, so made it work just fine.
Excellent home. Great for family reunion. Very well maintained and architecturally pleasing. Excellent location. Attentive hosts. 6 star rating if it could be given
This beautiful home was perfect for our large group. There was plenty of space for all of us to spread out and it never felt crowded. Multiple dishwashers and laundry facilities came in really handy. Loved the quiet beach and proximity to Hug Point.
We had a large group for a family reunion so we rented this house and another one on the same street that was ocean front and we all agreed that the view from this house was better than the one that was ocean front because it is up on a little bit of a hill and the ocean front house had an overgrown hedge that blocked a lot of the view. The beach access was very convenient and the beach was incredible! Not crowded and fun for the kids to explore being so close to hug point. My son went out early one morning at low tide and found 32 sand dollars! The house was well stocked, beyond any vacation home I have ever rented. It’s pretty common for vacation homes not to provide things like hand soap, shampoo, dish detergent, laundry detergent or toilet paper but this house provides it all and not just a starter pack, but enough for the week. We loved having 2 dishwashers and two fridges. We loved our stay and would definitely rent again!
We had a great time during our stay in Arch Cape. The house was beautiful, well maintained and well equipped with everything we needed. Beds are comfy! The view from the house is incredible, and the location is perfect as Arch Cape is just outside of Cannon Beach. It’s close enough to pop over for coffee in the morning, but just a little removed from all of the hustle & bustle. Be sure to go to the beach at low tide and check out the tide pools. We will be back the next time we are visiting!
We had a wonderful stay at the House at Arch Cape. This beautiful home fit our group well. We were traveling with our adult children and a few young grandchildren. There were plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for our group of 11. The views were amazing from the house and the beach. The fireplace was enjoyed on some rainy days we had. We visit this area frequently and usually stay in Cannon Beach. This time we brought the family along and needed a larger place to gather. This was a great choice. We were close to Cannon Beach but really enjoyed the calm and quite of this area. The kitchen and home are well stocked with everything you need. Lara was very helpful when I had questions before our stay and was able to accommodate our request for and early check in. We hope to return for another visit!
Great views, well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds. We had a great time walking the beach at low tide and enjoyed being able to see the beach from the comfort of the living room when it was raining. Overall our trip was the best and this home made it extra special.
