The Escape...On the Guadalupe River.

This is a great location on the river. Over the last 20 years we have stayed on River Road, this location on the river may be the best. We enjoyed sitting by the water, and on the covered porch. The space was clean and had everything we needed. When the arrived the AC was off and would not turn on. I reached out to the host, he was responsive and had the AC repair company out within an hour. We were enjoying the outside, there was no inconvience at all. We'll be back!

Was a nice pl to stay on the river

Location excellent.Host was very helpful.We would go back but I discovered I have cedar fever.A little drafty around the entry door. It could use some weather stripping. .

The house was nice and the backyard was so nice and relaxing. The house had everything we needed for a one week stay. We hope to return soon!

Very charming house with river access. We had a wonderful time tubing the Guadalupe river and enjoying the beautiful property. Two foxes and a racoon visited us in the evening while we enjoyed the cool breeze on the covered deck. We also enjoyed morning yoga near the river.

The house is right on the river and perfectly positioned to go up river and float back to house or start at the house and float to L&L and get out. The house is the perfect fit for our annual girls trip. We have rented this location 3 times now and will continue to use it!!!!

This was such a cute property. It was very well kept and clean. The check in process was great. House was as pictured. I love how the bathroom has a separate “get ready space” with a mirror and small chair. WiFi/netflix/air conditioner/fridge all worked great. Not the best water pressure, but we were all able to take hot showers so that was nice. The chargers on the night stands were a great touch. Extra blankets and pillows if needed. The back porch was awesome with a great view of the river. The river isn’t far from the house either. I Would stay here again.

My sister and I stayed a couple of nights for a peaceful getaway. The house was clean, quiet and relaxing. Had everything we needed. Great stay! Would recommend.

Relaxing fun with the kids

Everything was great start to finish! We had 6 ladies for a 4 night get away trip. We loved sitting on the back patio watching the bird and squirrels. The backyard is picturesque! Host was communicative. Beds were comfortable. 2 things to prepare for if you stay though! Bring toilet paper because we were only provided 2 rolls for 6 women on a 4 night trip. Also the chairs on the back patio are very uncomfortable without padding so bring cushions. We had bruises on our butts from them lol.

Very clean, beds were super comfy, and the location was perfect. Great little spot to fish in the morning before the tubes start appearing. At night it was so amazing to see all the lightening bugs. And of course the floating was perfect.

Quiet and beautiful part to stay, my kids are old enough to swim alone, and their best part was floating in front of the house!

Home was clean, kitchen was well equipped. Refrigerator had an icemaker. Plenty of towels and cleaning items available. The beds were comfortable and plenty of pillows.The backyard was simple, covered deck with a table a chairs. Grss covered lawn and beautiful cypress tress providing shade. Steps leading down to the river. There is a wooden dock. I was hoping for a place to put my chair in the river water and relax, but the water is too deep there, it just drops off. Only some roots to step down on. Getting out is a challenge without any handles to pull up on. We did enjoy swimming and floating in our tubes. We were there during the week. It was very quiet and peacefull. Many turtles, ducks, and a variety of birds to watch. We saw some small mouthed bass and perch.

The house is perfect for small groups. The location is excellent. You can swim, tube and fish. This is our 3rd time here and will be back.

I was there with four other women. We all feel awful after being there. I am severely allergic to mold. Water started coming up through the floors. The owner said it was HVAC. It appears to us to be an ongoing problem. My face swelled up and my ears ache / and one of my friends left early because of it. The owner said he was sorry we had to go through that. I believe this was a known issue before we rented.

My wife and I stayed for her mothers day getaway. It was wonderfully quiet and peaceful. The house was cozy and clean, matching the description exactly. The location on the river is wonderful as well. We will be back for sure.

I stayed here for 3 months while I was looking for a house. The location is convenient and beautiful. It is a perfect getaway on the river with lots of wildlife. The owner is very responsive. I hated to leave.

The house is perfect for a small group. The location is amazing and the little dock is perfect to fish off of or just sit and watch the water. It is our 2nd time to stay and we will definitely be booking again. The host is easy to communicate with and quick with responses.

This was our second stay on the property and as last year, we loved it. It was perfect for our family of 4, super clean, great river access, and comfortable. Kitchen is well stocked and made cooking easy. Can't wait to stay again next year!

The property inside was clean, comfortable and as presented. However, the exterior was sorely overlooked. The front lawn appeared to not having been mowed in a month and all windows are covered in thick spider webs and bugs. You can’t appreciate the view of the river and beautiful tree canopy from inside.

The house was just as described and very well stocked with all of the amenities one would need. My favorite part was having my coffee on the deck by the water. The beds were comfortable. The tube rental was super close, and they were so friendly. We all enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again!

Our family (9 yo son, 16 yo daughter, hubby, & I) stayed in this quaint home for the weekend & had a fantastic time! The location couldn't have been better. We had an absolute blast fishing, tubing & attending a concert at Whitewater amphitheater. The beds were comfortable & the house was clean. We would definitely stay here again!

This place is very clean and located in a very good spot, we brought our own tubes and were able to float right back to the house. Great place definitely coming back.

Amazing stay with perfect location right on the river!

We’ve stayed here almost every year for the past 8 years. The house is clean and cozy with the water right out the back door. Perfect for fishing or swimming. Can’t wait to stay again next summer!

What a great place to spend quality time with loved ones. We have been twice, to celebrate a lost loved ones birthday. We chose to make this an annual trip. The owner is great and communicates quickly. The Escape is a beautiful little slice of vacay heaven!
