Electric Peak Lookout is in a beautiful location in Gardiner and very close to the North entrance to Yellowstone. The house had everything we needed to be comfortable for 2 couples. We explored all parts of Yellowstone from there and found wonders around every corner: hot springs, geysers, wonderful trails, beautiful waterfalls. We saw bison in many areas of the park, particularly Hayden Valley and Lamar Valley. We also saw wolves in the Lamar valley and a black bear with 2 cubs on the Slough Creek Trail. The elk came by the house many mornings for a parade up the hill behind the house. Sitting on the deck looking at the peak after a long day of hiking and exploring was so relaxing and memorable. I would highly recommend Electric Peak Lookout as a base for exploring Yellowstone. We found a couple of good restaurants in Gardiner: Wonderland cafe and Back Country Bistro. Ridley’s had a good selection of groceries that kept us supplied for breakfast, lunches and the relaxing dinners we prepared and shared at the houseDorothy is a great host and provides everything needed to make your stay as easy as possible.

Located at the edge of beautiful Gardiner, so close to the park, it was perfect. After the moon set, it was so dark, we could see so many stars. And in the evening, we watched from the wrap-around porch a mess of elk wander down the driveway and munch on the neighbors' lawns. Beautiful! And with a bedroom downstairs and the other upstairs, we could get away from each other when needed. Very relaxing. We'd love to return

The house was fantastic! Met all of our needs - cooking facilities, outdoor space, and amenities. It was in a great location for our itinerary, and the communication was prompt and responsive. Couldn't have asked for better.

Great place to stay. Close to the North Entrance to YNP but far enough to have privacy. Ample parking outside and very clean inside. Dorothy is a great host and the house was very welcoming.

We absolutely LOVED everything about this house and our wonderful host, Dorothy. Here are just a few of the reasons we loved staying here:LOCATION- Less than 5 minutes (drive) to the Yellowstone entrance and Roosevelt arch- 2 minutes from Gardiner town (there's a market, gas station, and lots of great local shops & restaurants)- Situated on a quiet street with absolutely stunning views! (You can look out the window and see into Yellowstone National Park!)THE HOUSE- Immaculately clean! Even my mother, who is very particular about cleanliness said, Wow, this is really clean!- So well appointed: they really thought of every little detail and amenity a guest might need (extra blankets, bear spray, books!). Nothing was overlooked. - Amazing kitchen with an extra large pantry which was fantastic for making a few home-cooked meals on our trip and packing sack lunches for hiking in the park- Huge wrap-around deck, perfect for watching the elk, mule deer, and foxes- The house is honestly even nicer than it looks in the photos!OUR HOST- Excellent communication from the moment we booked through check-out- Dorothy left us the nicest note, flowers and a treat which was the loveliest surprise when we checked in (way above and beyond what I would expect a host to do!)- They also had a binder in the house with all the information you could ever need about the house, restaurant recommendations, and wildlife in the areaWe felt so welcome here and can't wait to go back!

We were very pleased with the location and accommodations. Great communication! Thank you for finding my earring and sending it to me. They made us feel so welcome with baked goods and flowers. We had a great view of bull moose right outside the property.

This cabin was better than described! Great views and we loved having happy hour on the deck and seeing elk out front in the mornings. It is close to restaurants but out of the traffic. It was very well stocked, even had bear spray to borrow. Super close to the park entrance. Would definitely stay here again!

Great location- close to town but yes secluded. We saw elk walking by the deck each night. The house is cozy with everything you need as a great base camp for a Yellowstone adventure. The property manager was very helpful and available by text for any questions we may have had.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the house. It was ideally located for trips into Yellowstone, specifically the northern half of the park. Additionally, we did a day trip to Bozeman, which was an easy hour drive. The town of Gardiner had plenty of restaurant options, a grocery store, shopping and fuel. The house was well appointed and very clean. The deck offered an excellent place for eating, grilling and spotting wildlife (we saw elk right off the deck and across the street). The host was very attentive, responsive and even informed us of a place to listen to live music in Gardiner. Great house! We would absolutely stay again!

The house is a great place to base your stay visiting Yellowstone or the general area around Gardiner. We loved the house. The listing is accurate and the house does have a flight of steps to get to the main living area. It’s not a problem and we loved being higher up to see the park from the house. It also gave a great vantage for the Hells a Roarin horse drive. Would recommend it!

This spring we spent long days in the park and it was nice to come back to such a clean, peaceful place. Dorothy has thought of everything from making sure we had bear spray to welcoming us with a note and muffins upon our arrival. With an upstairs suite and a downstairs living area, we had ample room. We have been to Yellowstone many times and this was one of the best places we have stayed. Looking forward to coming back soon.
