Welcome to our fun and quirky vacation home at Edisto Island, South Carolina, your perfect coastal island destination any time of the year. Nestled approximately 45 miles south of Charleston and east of Walterboro, Edisto is one of South Carolina’s largest barrier islands. Enjoy a scenic drive along Historic Highway 174, which winds through moss-draped ancient oaks, unspoiled marshes, and rich agricultural lands.

Like many vacation rentals in Edisto, we don't include linens, towels, or toiletries. However, if you don't want to bring your own linens and towels, don't sweat because there is a local company who offers a linen and towel package. You can find additional info about linen services further down the listing.

Sleeping Arrangements: Our home features three bedrooms and one sleeper sofa, comfortably accommodating up to 8 guests.

Property Highlights:
- Location: Conveniently situated right off Highway 174, near the Enterprise Bank, our home offers easy access to local attractions while providing a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle.

- Outdoor Space: Relax on our large front deck equipped with patio furniture, perfect for unwinding after a day at the beach. The house is nestled on a spacious one-acre lot.

- Beach Access: Just a 5-minute drive away, the nearest beach access is located by the state park, allowing for quick and convenient trips to the shore.

- Interior: With approximately 1000 sq. ft. of space, our home features an open floor plan encompassing the kitchen, living room, and dining area, providing ample room for relaxation and enjoyment.

- Living Room: Enjoy entertainment on the 75” smart TV with cable, high-speed free WiFi, and a DVD player. The pull-out sofa offers additional sleeping space with a full-size memory foam topper for extra comfort.

- Bedrooms: Each of the three bedrooms boasts new queen memory foam beds upgraded in May 2022. As mentioned above we do not provide any linens for the beds, including sheet sets or pillowcases. However, each bed includes a comforter, pillows, and blankets, with additional pillows available

- Kitchen: Fully equipped with a full-size fridge, microwave, oven, toaster oven, blender, toaster, pots & pans, and all necessary cooking utensils. (No cooking condiments provided). Although it's not guaranteed, we do our best to provide some basic spices,oil and medium roast coffee. We have a 12 cup coffee maker, with filters provided.

- Laundry: Washer and dryer are available for guest use. We strive to provide laundry detergent, hand soap, and dishwashing liquid, but availability cannot be guaranteed.

Booking Requirements:

- ID Submission: You must provide a picture of your government ID within 24 hours of booking (or immediately if a same or next day check in)to us directly. This is required by our insurance company. The ID is kept on file only for the duration of your stay and then deleted. You can send the ID via the VRBO app, text, or email. If ID is not provided unfortunately the reservation will be cancelled.

- Communication: After booking, we will reach out to confirm and complete the booking process. Please ensure your VRBO app notifications or emails are turned on. Unresponsive reservations will be canceled.

Important Information:
- This is our vacation home, rent out to help cover taxes and insurance. While it may not have the latest furniture or most modern decor, it offers great value and proximity to the beach.

- Linen/Towel Information: Guests must bring their own toiletries, food, bath towels, washcloths, and bed linens. Alternatively, S&J Linen Services, a local company, offers a linen package for a reasonable fee (not included in the reservation cost). Due to the time and expense of laundering, we do not provide linens, which is reflected in our discounted rental rates. S&J's package options are shown on the last picture of the listing

Guest Access

Guest have access to the entire house and large yard. Only the storage room under the house is locked. If you are planning to bring your boat, there is PLENTY of parking space. You're welcome to park anywhere in the yard, except the back yard as there is a septic tank.


Other things to note:
1. We want to give you a heads up about South Carolina's local wildlife – it's not unusual to encounter Palmetto bugs (similar to roaches) or even small Anole lizards sneaking into homes here. Occasionally, you might even spot a curious squirrel!

2. Our house runs on well water, so if you catch a whiff of sulfur, don't fret – it's perfectly normal and safe. If the smell bothers you, free water is available at the Edisto fire department, or you can grab bottled water from the nearby grocery store.

3. Please understand that this is a strict pet-free zone. We have severe allergies and asthma, so any unauthorized pets will lead to immediate eviction without a refund. You'll also be responsible for any damages incurred, such as carpet cleaning or upholstery. - This applies to service animals as this is owner occupied.

4. Smoking is strictly prohibited indoors (but feel free to smoke outside). Failure to comply will result in cleaning fees and a $250 fine.

5. For your comfort, the house is fitted with window air conditioners and propane wall heaters.

6. Reservations with house rule violations will not be refunded.

7. Rentals longer than 29 days must sign a mid term rental lease.

- The house has outdoor security cameras on each porch and carport area. Tampering with cameras or WiFi can result in immediate eviction and no refund.

In light of unforeseen circumstances that may arise, we strongly advise considering the purchase of travel insurance offered by VRBO or another company. This is particularly important due to our strict cancellation policy, ensuring you have the necessary coverage and flexibility in case of unexpected events such as illness, flight cancellations, weather, natural disasters, etc.
