It is a great property property just a few miles from the lake. The house is decorated with a very cool with an outdoorsman setup. It has a ton of privacy with no neighbors in sight. The house itself is clean and the a/c units work well to keep the house very cool, even in the heat of the summer. Very cool place, we would certainly give it a stay in the future.
Very nice place very clean plenty of parking close to town also restaurants and bars and you utv parks
Desperado was a beautiful place to stay. The number of bathrooms & bedrooms was perfect for my family. Having the Blackstone & Traeger smoker and hot tub were big perks. If you’re looking for a peaceful remote getaway - highly recommend!
Comfortable for the whole family.
We all LOVED the desperado lodge! The host was very responsive to all of our needs. The house was absolutely beautiful and is such a nice get away. We will definitely be booking again soon!
We had a great time at the cabin, there is plenty of space in the living room and the kitchen. It was very clean, and was well equipped, with a jacuzzi, Traeger, fire pit, and more. The only downside is that it is a little far from most of the attractions.
We had a great time at this home it was beautiful and very homey. Highly recommend staying here. Thank you for sharing your home with us.
I run a summer traveling camp for struggling teens. We spend four weeks traveling across America building relationships and developing healthy skills for living. We booked the Desperado for an extended weekend to decompress, relax, and process our experiences. The Desperado was the perfect home for my group and provided the venue for an amazing weekend. The home is on a large property, set back from the road, offering privacy and seclusion. We really felt like we were away from it all. Yet, it is in such a great location, just a short drive from everything the Ozark Lake region has to offer. The house itself was clean and comfortable. It had a unique character and several of the participants commented how much they loved the vibe. Each room had its own separate split unit that blew ice cold air, insuring that each space was comfortable. And the porches and hot tub certainly added a nice touch. Despite being a large group, the desperado had ample space and no one felt crowded or overwhelmed. There was a lot of couch seating in the living room and the kitchen and large island gave space to spread out to prepare meals. We were able to play music outside late at night and sit by the fire pit talking and singing without bothering any neighbors. Heather, the host, was amazing. She was very communicative and responded to messages timely. She was understanding and accommodating of the needs of our group and was truly a pleasure to work with. The Desperado was the perfect house for us. If you need a place that is spacious and away from it all, yet still right in the middle of the action, it may be the perfect place for you too!
Property was very nice, clean, and well supplied. House was updated and looked beautiful. There were 8 of us total - all adult size - and we had plenty of room for everyone. The teens loved the hot tub on the deck. We were at my husband's parents house during the day - they are right on the water - and could come back to the house in the evenings to relax. It was in a very peaceful setting.
Loved everything about this place!
