The Cottage by MTSU

The host was great no issues in that aspect. The house itself has a moldy musty smell to it. There’s definitely some mold in the hallway bathroom. Also, there’s a lot of water damage that you can see inside the house from where the roof may have been leaking at some point in time.

Clean, tons of kitchen plates etc, and roomy.

Great location and neighborhood

This property is bare bones. No soap in the showers; soap containers next to sinks were nearly empty; NO condiments in kitchen (NONE); some coffee. Beds were comfortable. Bath towels were adequate. Soap door on dishwasher would not close. NO mirrors in bedrooms.. In my opinion, over priced. Would not stay here again.

We were in town bringing our daughter to school so the location was super convenient. The home was very quaint and we were pleased with our stay.

Our trip was lovely and staying in this home make it even better. The inside was clean, well kept and stocked with items that are thoughtful to a travelers needs. The house is laid out well. The beds were comfortable. The neighborhood was quiet. There was plenty of parking and the outdoor sitting area was perfect for those who wanted to enjoy the outdoors. My elderly parents were able to get in and out of the house easily and enjoyed the bedroom with the bath. We would definately rent here again if visiting the area.

This place gets high marks for being so conveniently located within close proximity of everything you will need. Others have noted, and it was also our experience, that the property could use some updating. As a specific example, the en suite bathroom shower is very small. In the other bathroom, wallpaper is falling off the wall. The property was clean but needs some maintenance.

The property was as described but the house is older. It was quaint with large bedrooms and lots of space. We had everything we needed.

Very big and great location

Great place for us! Owners were very accommodating when rain changed our plans at the last minute. I would definitely stay here again.

Our family of 9 adults with a small dog had a great stay here. This is a very old home that has been renovated with an updated kitchen and additional bedroom. The home says it sleeps 9 (and we knew this) but one person will have to sleep on the couch. There are 4 beds. The only negative was there are no extra linens for the couch to be slept on. The air condition quit on us one night but the owner/property manager responded very quickly and had a worker out within 3 hours to repair it. This was a perfect home for us all to stay together to celebrate our son’s wedding. The long driveway even accommodated 5 cars at one point.

4 generations stayed. We will reserve the property again. It was perfect for our needs. It was clean.So very Nice!

If you're looking for a cozy home in a quiet area, look no further. There are some restaurants and stores around, and the city and nightlife is not too far of a drive. Book this home for your family and enjoy some quality time on your next vacation!!

We booked this for our son’s baseball tournament and our spring break vacation. We arrived to a mildew smell, dirty kitchen, moldy coffee pot, broken bed, and stained sheets. We reached out to the owners and they were very responsive sending over their handyman and cleaning crew within an hour. While there was improvement with fresh sheets, cleaned kitchen and repaired bed, the smell never went away. The fourth bedroom is actually a converted garage with no insulation thereby being very sensitive to the weather as well as noise. This ‘cottage’ is an old house with a lot of work needing to be done - specifically in the bathrooms and kitchen - to justify its cost. We really were so appreciative of the fast response of the owners and we did sleep well. We enjoyed the walk to downtown Murfreesboro as well as MTSU.

House was very clean and comfortable. Owner was very helpful and even asked if he needed to come by to help with a question we had. Perfect situation for our group to stay here. Highly recommended.

Nice place, perfect for a large family. Missing some basic amenities (soap in the washrooms, toaster, enough toilet paper).

The property was perfect for our extended weekend visit for a wedding. Everything was clean and organized.

This was a great house to stay for MTSU Parent's Weekend. Firepit was perfect in evenings for our students to come and hang out with us in the evenings.

Very conveniently located to our needs. Central to 3 family locations. Burrowed, Murfreesboro and Rockvale.

Centrally located near dining and shopping. House was very nicely decorated and plenty of space for our family of four. Owner was easy to communicate with. Some minor things we would change but overall we would stay here again if in the area. Be sure to check out Slick Pig BBQ near MTSU!

The property was extremely clean and was in a great location. Property managers were responsive.
