The Choice: Oceanfront Comfort in Surf City

The house was in a perfect location for us. The weather was perfect!!! It was as pictured on the site so we knew it was a little dated but not a big deal for us. The biggest issue/ but not a huge issue was the sliding door to go on the deck was super hard to open & close and there was no screen so we couldn’t just leave it open. There is a raised spot in the middle of the house that runs the length of the house even onto the deck so we did trip a few times but we also have a few not so grace people in our group. None of that hurt our stay in the slightest.

We loved staying right on the beach and the porch was nice. Loved the location. Close to the pier and downtown. If it had a washer and dryer, we would definitely stay here every year!

The stove has one burner that is not working. Some of the dishes were obviously not clean so we washed everything when we got there. Lots of sand in the house. Love the location and the house was great other than what I mentioned. We definitely left the house cleaner than we found it.

We enjoyed the beach cottage. Very convenient to beach a bit dated but everything worked well and so nice to be able to be right on the beach

There's plenty of room and it is so close to the beach. The fridge was not the best but we enjoyed our stay.

Topsail has never disappointed. Nice cottage feel to this property.

Good value and great peaceful location. Nearly private beach but 3 minute drive to retail near the pier. Good size porch overlooking the Atlantic. Kitchen was well equipped for cooking. Mix of new and old decor won't impress anyone but is very functional and comfortable. Newer furniture in the open family room. Nice having two full baths. Plenty of parking. Had a small charcoal grill. Did not have any beach chairs or sand toys. Rental agency interaction was friendly and helpful.

The cottage was great other then the fact that the description online says The Choice has a queen, two fulls and a bunk bed. The only reason I rented it is because the description says it sleeps 8. This is not true. It only sleeps 6. 2 of our kids had to sleep on the couches in the living room. Their was no bunk bed in the cottage. Other then that we enjoyed our stay on the island as always. Surf city is my favorite place but I won't be renting the choice again.

The house is nice. Double parking driveway. Hard to see to get out due to shrubs being overgrown. Makes backing out very dangerous. The beach is very nice in that area and having the deck access to the surf is very convenient. Spray off shower and hose on deck helps getting sand off from the beach. Overall, a nice place to stay. ✌?

More room than appears in the photos, which is great! There IS a dishwasher, unlike is stated online. Two full baths, which is also not really apparent in the photos, it seems more like a bath & a half. We loved our week in The Choice!
