The Cedar Shack near Lake Conroe

Cedar Shack was exactly as expected. We loved it

We loved the cleanliness, the price,the space for the 2 of us our child & pets. The fenced in yard was fantastic too!

Very welcoming and warm. We appreciated the beautiful home and cozy space. We felt safe and right at home. Also, we loved visiting the tortoises on the owner's private property. Truly a delight!

Excellent stay. Everything as described, great amenities, and pet friendly. Nice quiet neighborhood (with local deer roaming). The team was active in assuring smooth check-in, stay, etc. Many attractions within a short drive, great restaurants. Definitely recommended, would book and stay in the area again.

Nice accommodations with everything we needed for our stay. Only a couple minute drive to lake Conroe and lots of restaurants and stores just a short drive away also. The fully fenced in property was perfect for the dogs, we could just open the door and let them out. Owner and property manager were very welcoming and shared lots of information. One thing to be aware of though is there is another rental unit on the same property in the same fenced in area. It was vacant when we were there but if it was rented then the experience with the pets would likely have been very different.

Had amazing time

It was peaceful, quiet came cozy. Just what I needed some time off.

This was the best 4 days that we have had in a long time. This is the perfect place to get away and unwind. The 5 acre property that you can use was the highlight of our stay. It was so peaceful and an awesome place. I haven’t went down a waterslide since I was a kid.. it was the first time I got to be in a canoe. We fed the old tortoises, that was so cool!! There were fireflies! The property manager was so hospitable as well as the owner! They went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was wonderful. There are so many places to eat that are around you so many fun activities to do that are close. The convenience was outstanding .We rate this a 10 out of 10, and we can’t wait to go back and bring the rest of the family.This just may be our new getaway spot!! Thank you conroy family!!

The Cedar Shack was a fantastic place to stay. Just minutes from the lake and close to family. We had many good meals and enjoyed seeing the extended property and the tortoises. This will be my go-to place when I visit Conroe. Thank you so much for a wonderful trip!

We were moving from NW Arkansas and had an 8 day gap between houses. We have 2 dogs. This was perfect for us. I e recommended this to my realtor and a friend who is a travel agent. Having a washer and dryer was a HUGE plus to us also! Not having to eat fast food for 8 days, also a plus. Thank you so much! Price is unheard of!!

Great location, very clean, great hosts.

This is a great place. It located in a nice quiet neighborhood with friendly neighbors. It was very clean and comfortable. All amenities you would need were available and close to shopping, restaurants and entertainment. Thank you for a great stay.

This stay was great. Cute cabin, very cozy. Big yard for our dogs to run. I would recommend this property to others for a nice vacation by the lake.

Perfect for what we had planned

The beds are clean and comfortable.

We visit Conroe several times a year. This little Cabin was a perfect alternative for a hotel. We travel with our two lap dogs, and they were welcome here. The host and owners were very nice and extremely responsive. We will happily stay here again.

The place was cozy, calm and comfy! A gem of a find out in the woods! Thank you for having my mom and I.

Due to the storm we ended up not staying and the host was very accommodating!

These guys are very responsive and helpful. I had to find a place last minute, same day and they accommodated me. Then I had to reduce my stay by five days and they had no problem changing the reservation and providing a refund. The house is cute, cabin like, and the neighbors were all super nice.

Wonderful cabin located on a beautiful, secluded property close to Lake Conroe. Cabin interior was very cozy, well decorated and appointed. Enjoying evenings on the porch was very relaxing, the glow of fireflies and sounds of nature all adding to the magical experience. Also need to recognize our excellent hosts who were most helpful and great communicators throughout our stay. Highly recommend this place and these hosts. We’ll definitely be back.

I travel for work and this time the family came along. They had a good time in the Montgomery/Lake Conroe area. We really enjoyed the swimming pong area. Thanks for the hospitality and easy check in process.
