Stayed Dec 9, 2023We had an amazing time at this property. Comfortable and well outfitted, we loved having this as a home base for our adventures. Kids spent most of the day in the beautiful pool. Loves the access to beaches, and bedrooms were perfect. Excellent for groups both small and large. We hope to come back one day!

Stayed Feb 18, 2023It wasn’t perfect, but pretty close to it. Beautiful property, probably best suited for a vacation of up to four couples, or families with older children. The toddler in our group kept us on our toes due to the layout of pool and other water features. Kitchen was well stocked with great appliances, cookware, etc. Beds were extremely comfortable, clean and comfy furniture, lovely outdoor seating and dining area. Warm salt water swimming pool and spa were heavenly! Irene, our property manager did a fabulous job! Not so great aspects: the house is, as stated, 300 yards above the Westin Hapuna Hotel, which means part of your view is the back of the hotel. There were a couple of leaks (ceiling and kitchen sink), a too cool hot tub, and a broken wine refrigerator, all of which were quickly addressed by the property manager. The louvered doors in the bedrooms need a good dusting, otherwise everything was very clean. I highly recommend hiring the private chef, who cooked for us twice and left abundant, delicious leftovers. After our daughter’s wedding on the beach, Rowland cooked a fabulous celebration dinner. I also recommend Babiesnbeaches for anyone with children. Mahalo to everyone who helped us create a magical week.

Stayed May 15, 2021This beautiful, luxurious, and stunning property has to be seen to be believed. Not only is it located between two of Hawaii’s best beaches, Hapuna and Mauna Kea, it is an architectural stunner that has everything you want/need on this, or any island. Their were nine of us—8 adults and one child—but it never felt crowded, unlike our next house on Kauai. Our kids took just one field trip, to the volcano park over near Hilo. After that, everyone knew there was no reason to go anywhere...we had our own private resort. Everyone of the rooms, which are huge, open up to the ocean. The master bedroom is upstairs, with a commanding view of the entire area. The kitchen was huge, and had everything you need. The house sound system was easy to use to play music in every room. I especially liked the two buttons in the master bedroom that allowed me to turn all the house lights on, or off. Finally, the pool, an actual heated infinity pool in your backyard! In addition, the host did everything she could to make our stay enjoyable, including getting the ice maker fixed. One could grumble that the TVs were outdated (true), but who cares? Who wants to watch TV in a house like this? Yes, this house is expensive, but it’s worth it, and we would definitely stay there again.
