The Blue Birdie - Summer into Summer!

Besides the following comments, I also have a few pictures to substantiate our experience. The following is what we experienced between 12/27/24 and 1/3/25:1. The spa was not able to heat the entire stay. Unusable and a amenity that helped us choose this rental. Looking at previous reviews it was an issue before.2. Primary bed very uncomfortable. Uneven and possibly worn out and caused me to experience sciatica.3. 2nd floor toilets noisy and howl when flushed.4. Kitchen had no dish strainer to dry handwashed dishes and pans. Also no kitchen towels for drying.5. 3rd floor TV remote had no back to keep batteries in. All remote batteries were poor quality. Had to take batteries from primary remote to use in 3rd floor remote.6. 3rd floor ceiling fan blades very dirty. Probably haven't been cleaned in a while.7. Kitchen barstool seats very dirty.8. 1st floor stair light flickered when turned on. 9. Primary bathroom hair dryer handle very sticky.10. 2 out of the 4 dining room table lights were burnt out.The host attempted to get the spa heater operating but was unsuccessful. We paid a lot of money for this rental. We've used VRBO in the past as well as other rental services over the years and I can say this is the worst stay we've experienced. It would be nice if some type of credit were to be offered but more importantly steps implemented to ensure the house is in better condition and all advertised amenities operational for the next guest.

Fun filled week going to the beach, exploring St Augustine and a great backyard area to relax in after our daily adventures. Beautiful home and would definitely come back!

We had a multi-generational group of families staying together and we had a blast here. The pool/golf area entertained everyone and we never ran out of room for everyone to hang out indoors or outdoors. The house was clean enough for our picky-est family members and had plenty of room in the upstairs living area for meals. We drove the block or two up to the beach access parking area, but we were able to walk back to the house as necessary. Overall a great stay and the host was responsive to our questions.

The house was very nice. The hot tub was broken and I wasn't told till the day before. They have a pictures of a fancy grill and fire pit but you are not aloud to use it. They don't tell you that until the day before. The downstairs bathroom would not flush which was very annoying for when you're outside you have to go upstairs to use the bathroom. If you were sleeping down there you had to go upstairs in the night if you had to use the bathroom. I contacted the property manager and was told it couldn't be fix until we were gone. There was also dirty dishes in the cabinets.

House is in great and safe location, beautiful grounds! Too bad we couldn’t use the hot tub because it was broken, very disappointing but overall it was a good stay. You will need to be in okay shape to go up the 34 steps from the first floor up to the kitchen/living room. Crescent beach is a wonderful beach!

Plenty of room at the Blue Birdie! Great counter for the kids to do puzzles, games or eat while watching early morning TV. The layout of the property was prefect for the adults to use the chip & put while the kids played in the pool. Unfortunately couldn’t use the hot tub due to no propane which was a bummer. The property manager tried to get a fuel delivery but couldn’t it get prior to our departure. The communication was good during our stay for whatever issues came our way. Thank you Lauren. It was a great stay

The property was stunning and provided so much to do. You will have a relaxing, fun filled weekend here and really experience one of the best beach vacations you can have in Florida. The service was great, and we will definitely be back for another visit.

Good space to hold a lot of people. Will say that there are no mirrors in any of the bedrooms so it was difficult getting so many girls ready at once. The walk to the beach is close however you do have to walk across a pretty busy street with no crosswalk. House was nice, pool was nice, manager was very prompt in communication when we were having problems with the refrigerator not being cold.

The home is wonderful. We were three families and had more then enough space. The host was very helpful and responsive before and during the stay. You can walk to the beach or drive and park in front of the beach access. The only issue we had was the grill not working. The check out process was very easy and fast. I would recommend this house and likely book again.
