The Beach House

Great location with plenty of space for our two families. It’s right on the water and the views are amazing.

The Beach House is a beautifully appointed home right on the water. The decor was beachy and pretty. Furnishings were comfortable and well placed. My family and I had the best time—comfy beds, pretty surroundings and a pretty sunroom/porch to sit and watch the waves hit the shore. Kitchen stocked nicely so you can cook meals if desired and plenty of supplies if you forget something. We loved our stay and hope to come back for another staycation!

House was extremely clean! The views exceptional! Very comfortable home! Host was very nice made booking easy! Just needed more forks and serving bowls ! Otherwise it was perfect!

The house was immaculate, and the beach views spectacular!!! Kathy added some special touches that made our stay special….. baskets of soap, lotion, etc. for our use. Fresh fruit, and some tequila and Margarita mix was especially welcoming. We used her kayaks and paddle board, so did not have to bring our own.We experienced a slice of heaven staying in her home

Did I enjoy my stay at The Beach House? Let me count the ways. The property was very comfortable and super clean. You can’t beat the view! Kathy, the host, thought of everything. And if she didn’t, you really didn’t need it. From a basket full of fresh fruit and snacks, to the essentials you may have forgotten (toothbrush, sunscreen, beautiful soaps, beach towels). The house has luxurious towels and linens, super comfortable beds, and a delightful fully stocked coffee bar to get your day started. And when I say Kathy thought of everything, there was even a wagon ready for you to bring your belongings from the car to the house or vice versa. I used it numerous times. Did I mention the outdoor shower? Two youngsters who came for a visit could not believe you could take a shower outside! So happy I could give them that memory. The kitchen was well appointed with dishes, glasses and cookware. And a bonus, two refrigerators! I spent hours sitting on the patio watching the tide. The patio furniture was super comfortable, so much so I caught myself napping a few times. Honestly, I was not ready to go home. I plan on returning to The Beach House in the future. If you are considering this property, do not wait to book it. And if you do, claim your bedroom to the front of the house to enjoy an incredible view. Kathy, thank you for sharing this beautiful space. My family and I had a terrific getaway.

This beach house was amazing! The location was perfect and the views beautiful. The house had every thing we could have asked for and much, much more! The master bedroom view is breathtaking. Beds were so comfortable. Kathy was so kind and accommodating. She knew we would be getting in late and stocked the fridge with water and creamer for our coffee in the morning.

Our family had a wonderful time on the beach at this beautiful home and location. Kathy the owner was great to work with and the home had everything you could need to enjoy your time on the beach!! Local towns also great for dining and fun.

Six adult members of our extended family had a lovely, relaxing week at this comfortable and inviting rental. Although there are many things to do in the area, we mostly just hung out by the water, watched the birds, and enjoyed the amazing views of the sky. We did get in a few rounds of mini-golf in Old Saybrook! The house was sparkling clean when we got there and we took advantage of the many great restaurants in the area, which made our stay doubly relaxing. Hoping to come back again soon!

Beautifully and lovingly curated beach home was perfect for our multi-generational vacation and even more amazing in real life compared to the pics online. Most of our time was spent on the front patio enjoying our meals overlooking the wide open oceanfront views of Long Island Sound. At low tide, the water was knee deep for yards out and several sandbars which allowed for kids and grandparents to walk to Duck Island on soft sand (great workout walking in the water), do some bird watching and everyone felt safe kayaking. Bring floats and water toys and relax. The sandy section of the beach is narrow so at high tide, so walking on the beach can be limited until tides recede. The beach itself has lots of shells and a few rocks but within 5' of skipping over the shoreline, it is soft sands so really great fun with smaller kids. Spotted at different times along the shoreline: oysters, crabs, snails, scallop seashells, clams, white herons, other beautiful shore birds. Our family of 12 ranged from 7yrs old to 75 yrs. The home was equipped with everything you need including two refrigerators and a wet sink that doubled as a bar for our group, and an outdoor fenced-in shower. The front patio is shared with a few other neighboring homes but all persons we met were nice and friendly. Several grocery stores within 2 miles, and convenience store only a few blocks away for quick items. The neighborhood is quaint and quiet with well-cared for homes, but we didn't explore much as we really just parked ourselves beachside.
