This is really a million dollar location overlooking a fairly undisturbed beach - dog walkers during the day and 2 or 3 campfires at night. The house is older and could use extensive renovation. But, the decks, patio, hot tub and whale/dolphin watching more than make up for it. The kitchen is adequate, - don’t expect to be able to do a lot of cooking - fortunately you don’t have to since there are tons of restaurants and take outs in the area
If it weren't for being right on the sand.... The beds are awful. Dishes in the cabinet are not clean due to a very gross dishwasher. Kitchen drawers need some attention, they are dirty. The kitchen overhead lights are full of bugs. The house phone didn't work which was not right because the cell service is awful. TV remotes didn't work since the batteries were dead. This is an older home that just needs some attention and TLC which could easily be overlooked if some details were worked out.
This house could not be located in a better spot. Right in the beach with beach access next to the house. It was very clean. Definitely needs some updates but it’s a rental so you expect that to some degree. Would definitely rent again
Our family had an incredible time at this beautiful Santa Cruz Property. We spent a week lounging on the beach, playing in the waves, taking in the ocean views from the backyard and balconies, and enjoying the beachside town. Having private parking so near to the beach was a great feature of this property. The entrance to the beach was just steps away from the property. To enter the beach we had to climb down a few rocks (which was no problem for myself, my wife, and our 4 year old) but I can imagine an individual with more limited mobility may have needed to walk one block over to use the stairs (still close and convenient.) The kitchen was well outfitted, the laundry machines worked well, beds and couches were comfortable, and the wifi was reliable. Bath towels were provided, but no beach towels were provided (not a problem, just something to plan for.) The management company was helpful and friendly, and made both check in and check out very easy. We felt so spoiled staying here, and would love to come back.
I could have stayed forever. It had the beach house feel with a few modern convenances. The master bed was comfortable and nobody in our party complained about the other sleeping quarters. It was my granddaughters 21st birthday and I let her pick a couple nights at a VRBO in Santa Crus. She picked the Aquarius. Great choice Lacey!
The location of this house is incredible. The adults were able to sit on the deck/hot tub and watch while the kids went down to the beach and played for hours. The house has everything we needed as far as cookware and extra linen. The furniture is a bit dated, but, it really doesn’t matter because the only thing we were looking at was the beautiful ocean view. The listing probably says this and I missed it, but, the two downstairs bedrooms are connected. So the people in the Queen room need to walk through the kid (bunk bed room) to get to their bedroom.,
We just had the most relaxing weekend at this property. Great views, nice and quiet area. Everything needed inside. we especially enjoyed the hot tub and chiminea.
Great house, the outdoor space was awesome. Ocean Views from everywhere. The projector was nice for movie night.
The house worked out well for me and my girlfriend’s long weekend get away. We are in our 50’s and it would have been nice to know that there were stairs s block away to get down to the beach. The high tide pooled water next to the property was quite sulfurous. The hot tub was a bit murky and sandy when we arrived. We laughed and walked, cooked and went out, and had a great weekend together!
Wonderful house with views from multiple decks and from the kitchen and living rooms. Lovely to hear the waves crashing in the distance and it was the shortest walk out to Cliff Drive for easy walking access to the beach. Kitchen had everything needed to prepare and eat breakfast, lunch and dinner. The clean and truly hot, hot tub was really the icing on the cake.
