The Alpaca Loft

The Alpaca Loft is an alpaca-themed retreat in Washoe Valley (no real alpacas!). Halfway between Reno and Carson City, @thealpacaloft is the perfect basecamp for adventures just 45 min from South or North Lake Tahoe. A quick 25 min drive from RNO airport, it's convenient and easy to access - no matter the season. Best suited for couples, but can accommodate small families, this loft offers a private sauna, hot tub, and more for the ultimate #ooogetaway.

Please note that Washoe County charges a mandatory 13% lodging tax when you confirm your reservation.

After booking, you will be asked to complete and sign a Check-In Form and Rental Agreement, which protects our home and community from guest damages.



PLEASE check the location before booking. Washoe Valley is a rural, secluded neighborhood and is approximately a 15-20 min drive to major services like grocery stores and restaurants. Do not book if you are looking for a walkable neighborhood.



This property is not ADA-accessible. The entire loft is located upstairs.



Owner lives in the primary residence at the front of the property. The Alpaca Loft is located at the back of the property and has its own completely private yard and blackout blinds for full privacy during your stay. All amenities are totally private - you will not share the hot tub, sauna, or firepit with anyone else!



There is plenty of parking onsite for cars and trailers - perfect for hauling dirt bikes and toys. No off-site street parking allowed. You may store items in the garage during your stay.



In winter, from November to March, occasional snowstorms bring a few inches that melt quickly in morning sun; rare multi-foot dumps may last days, impacting travel and requiring AWD/4WD. Please plan accordingly.



The region is prone to wildfires and winter storms. Please note we do not move, cancel or provide refunds or credits for any reason, including poor air quality, road conditions, road closures and weather conditions. If you think you may need to cancel for any reason, we highly suggest purchasing travel insurance or booking closer to your travel dates.
