Beautiful location, very neat, quiet property and well appointed. Comfortable beds. Fantastic kitchen helpfully outfitted with supplies and utensils. There were some minor plumbing and maintenance issues (slow bathroom sink drain, inoperable vent fan, fixed shower heads), but would definitely stay again. Recommended.

Delightful property that is managed very well. The area is extremely quiet and the view is amazing, I came prepared for bare bones, but the house had everything-flashlights, firewood, grill, propane, matches, a lovely kitchen, and every detail in between. Highly recommended.

This place was perfect for our weekend getaway to Paso! It is situated on a beautiful vineyard with plenty of seating outside to enjoy the view. It was close to downtown and surrounding wineries and the host Michelle was so kind and helpful! The kitchen was also very nicely stocked, so the amenities were very well thought-out. 10/10 would recommend and would stay here again!

What a lovely house on a beautiful vineyard! Location is perfect, close to downtown and other wineries. Highly recommend checking out Thacher winery and we will be back to enjoy the house again.

This is our second stay at the Thacher Vineyard Retreat, and it was once again wonderful. The home is very warm and cozy. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the essentials for cooking and even special items for things like charcuterie boards. The home is very clean, and the beds are very comfortable. The location in the middle of the vineyard is beautiful. The firepit with all the supplied wood was most enjoyable. I would highly recommend the Thacher Vineyard Retreat to everyone who wants to enjoy the best of Passo Robles. Additionally, Michelle is a fantastic host who is very attentive to any needs you may have. She even offers to have wine delivered so it will be there when you arrive. She is great!

Amazing stay—great host, peaceful place!

Host was welcoming and thorough. Home was clean and comfortable with incredible views. Kitchen and bathrooms stocked with everything you might need for your stay. Nice linens and towels. Nicely decorated with modern amenities. I highly recommend this VRBO if you’re looking for a unique and fully immersive wine country vacation.

What a great place to stay! The location feels like you’re deep in the wine country yet a short drive later, you’re in the park downtown. The house was nicely furnished, and everything was well stocked. The views amazing. The vineyards during the day and the far off lights at night.

Best equipped rental I’ve stayed in in years! Michelle thought of everything, from a molecajete for guacamole to firewood for the fireplace. And you cannot beat the view of the vineyards. We will definitely be back!

10th year renting this property- location and owners make it special

Our family spent several days on the Thatcher Vineyard property during our first visit to Paso Robles.The views from the house, surrounded by well-manicured vineyards were absolutely amazing. The firepit was our go-to spot for wine at happy hour overlooking the incredible scenery and the fire blazing to warm us up in the evening.The spacious kitchen was well-stocked with every conceivable cookware, plate and wine glass that you would need during your stay. The view was open from the kitchen out to the vineyard, making dinner prep a most enjoyable experience.The bedrooms were outfitted with lovely bedding and comfortable mattresses allowing for restful sleep.Outside of some wear and minor cosmetic issues on the decking, the home was in great shape.The Thatcher Vineyard property was most convenient to Paso Robles, with grocery stores, restaurants, craft beer and great wine.We look forward to our next visit!

Wonderful location and house. We enjoyed the covered deck and view every night! Well-stocked kitchen and thoughtful extras in the medicine cabinet too!

We celebrated my daughter’s bday and it was absolutely perfect! The house is so comfortable and cozy and well equipped with everything we needed.

This was the perfect place for our family to stay for Mother’s Day. We enjoyed struggling the vineyards and meals on the patio. I enjoy cooking in the kitchen was truly a Cook’s kitchen, fully stocked with great appliances and the barbecue island had amazing views. We enjoyed being lazy, playing games, and just enjoying the view. It is the perfect place to get away from it all and it looks exactly the same as it does in the pictures. It is a perfect place to stay. The host to thought of everything and she was very easy to get in touch with. Excellent place.

We have now been visiting this property every year for about seven years. It is becoming our home away from home. Michelle is always great to work with, and her place with its unique location delivers a memorable experience for us every time. We are already looking forward to booking our next visit.

Amazing rental right in the middle of the vines but with easy access to town. Photos are very accurate and the house comes well stocked with everything you might need.

We have stayed here several times before so knew what a delightful home we had to look forward. We love the views and the peace and quiet. However, easy access to the town, wineries and the ocean makes it even more special. Michelle’s hand in overseeing the property is apparent: coffee beans to grind fresh each morning, well-organized drawers and cabinets, clean and neat and uncluttered. The surrounding grounds with trees and flowers and a deck with a large picnic table make “hanging out” a delight. (Our friend visiting from France was very happy here, too.)

Had an amazing time celebrating our see friends bday! We enjoyed the house so much we opted to stay and cook together the entire weekend because we wanted to get the most out of the home! We had a fabulous stay at the Thacher Winery guest house in Paso Robles.We are return guests and appreciate the serenity and beauty of the property only minutes from downtown.Michelle is a fantastic property manager and is excellent at communicating.The house is super cozy with a modern kitchen and a beautiful barbecue Grill area overlooking the vineyards and the rolling landscape of Paso Robles.I highly recommend it and we will definitely be back!

We were so happy to be back at this property. My children would ask us often when we would go back and our trip was just as magical as the first time. The owner is so easy to communicate with, the house had everything we needed and then some and the property is beautiful with stunning views and so much for kids to keep them entertained. We are so thankful for such wonderful hospitality and such a gem of a rental. We will be back soon!

We celebrated my brother's 91st birthday with local friends and relatives--kinda like an old folks home gathering! The house is better stocked than my own home! And everyone marveled at the view of endless vines on rolling hills. A truly enjoyable few days! Richard Proctor

This was our 2nd time at the Thacher property and despite the rainy weather it continues to be such a relaxing and special place. Quiet, superb views, excellent accommodations, and so close to everything. We will be back!

Very nice stay. I would emphasize road ingress/egress as limited to normal clearance vehicles. Had I brought my Cayman S, I would not be able to navigate those roads up to the house. While I understand the nature of deferred maintenance, I do see the place getting tired. Some would have no objection but another few years of normal wear and tear on exterior landscape and surroundings may be more than you can manage with a rake and some labor. The landscape blocks are getting displaced by roots and erosion. The irrigation lines are exposed in areas which may be due to erosion or just light scale repair efforts. We did love the place regardless and imagine putting $100,000 into labor and material to bring it to a better condition is a big ask. However it would bring you better rates I believe. We plan to come back in two years and would book your place again. But I wanted to offer some candid feedback as I would want to know what my guests thought about the facility. Lovely time and spectacular location and setting. Merry Crstmas and Hapoy New Year!

Three couples stayed - this is our fourth stay - and had a great time. Love the wood burning stove and the ample supply of weed. Kitchen is great for cooking with a large group.and property is gorgeous, relaxing view. It’s a way off the beaten path but that’s what is so great about it for us. Not to far from anything but real close to other wineries if you want to be

Thatcher Vineyard Retreat is the ultimate getaway in a beautiful area. The contemporary ranch style home is beautifully appointed with everything you need for a marvelous stay in Passo’s wine country. Michelle, the owner, is very accommodating and welcoming. She even offered to have groceries delivered to the house and hosted us with a lovely wine tasting at their Thatcher Winery. We had a wonderful time! Thank you Michelle!

Beautiful property close to Downtown Paso but very much in the countryside and away from it all. Clean and modern vacation home with outside amenities to enjoy the vineyard on the property. Michelle was great and communicated with us to make sure we had everything we needed before we arrived. Would highly recommend this property - we intend to come back!

Place is beyond anything we could have imagined. Great location, peaceful, beautiful, well stocked, management responsive, etc.

We had a great time at the Thacher property over a long weekend. There was plenty of room inside and out to lounge around and enjoy each other's company. The view from the property was beautiful, and we made great use of the fire pit out front. The kitchen had a lot of space and wasn't missing anything in terms of dishes, utensils, etc. An all around great experience and we would definitely stay here again.
