Envisioned with relaxation as a priority, the newly renovated architecturally designed Te Awanga Cottages feature stunningviews of the surrounding hills and coastline. Both cottages havelush interior furnishings, including a bath with outdoor viewing, and a front and backdeck to utilise morning and evening sun. If you are looking for a relaxing retreat, a venue for a celebration, or that special accommodation after a day of sightseeing or business, then enjoy the sun rising and setting over this idyllic Hawke's Bay property.
The Cottages (Awa and Moana) will each accommodate two people, with a choice of either a king-sized bed or two long-single beds, and a roll-away slat bed is available for a third person.
Located on the outskirts of the village of Te Awanga, the Hawke's Bay Landscapes Trail is on your Cottages doorstep for you to enjoy a refreshing morning walk through the village to the ocean, or a stroll through picturese farmland towards the Cape and Hygee at Clifton Bay Café. Antoher option is rent our bikes (E-bikes and standard bikes available) and explore our wonderful local community and visit three renowned wineries within 2.5km of our cottages. E-bikers might like to explore further afield on Hawke's Bays extensive trails.
Our localinternationally acclaimed wineries Clearview, Elephant Hill and Te Awanga estate are big local attractions, and for the serious wine enthusiast there are an additional 30 plus vineyards located within a half hour drive.
We are near the gateway to Cape Kidnappers (famous for the world's largest land based Gannet Bird Colony which can be visited on foot, or via an organised tour riding behind tractors along the beach, or overland in air-conditioned comfort through rolling farmland). It is also home to one of the world's foremost golf courses, with spectacular clifftop greens against an ocean back drop.
Whilst Te Awanga and Haumoana offer glimpses of an eclectic artist community with roadside galleries to explore, a 15-20 minute scenic drive takes you to either the Art Deco delight of Napier, Hip Havelock North, or vibrant Hastings which has a weekly Farmers Market offering an array of local Hawkes bay produce and delights.

The cottage is beautifully presented. It has a relaxed, charming feel to it with an outlook to match. Only 15 minutes to either Napier or Havelock if you feel the need to shop. Wonderful Hosts.

Fabulous property, cozy and peaceful. A lovely getaway to recharge the batteries. Quality furnishings and great to have the fire on a rainy night

Great accommodation. Modern, private and very well equipped. We loved the little touches, for example all the things I usually take away with me (oil to cook with, plastic containers for storing leftovers) were all supplied. Thoughtful things that make this an easy place to stay in. Will definitely stay here again.

Beautiful spring blossom filled view. Sunny cosy and well equipped. Great easy cycling trails on the doorstep. We stayed five nights and wished it was longer.
