Stayed Jul 5, 2025We stayed here for three weeks this summer. It's a very nice, large, and well-equipped house with a lovely outdoor area. The owner is very nice and helpful. There are a lot of mosquitoes, which made it difficult to sit or eat outside after late afternoon. It's about a 15-minute drive to Sitges or Vilafranca, where there are many restaurants and shops. You can take a cheap train from Sitges to Barcelona. The wonderful beach of Castelldefels is about a 40-minute drive from the house. We recommend taking the beautiful, free coastal road from Sitges instead of the toll motorway. We highly recommend this house. Enjoy your stay!

Stayed Aug 10, 2024We've been two families 2+2 kids each. House is great, has everything you need. Placement is good. Host is super friendly and helpfull. There were a few minor issues during our stay, though they did not affect our stay so still 5 stars especially considering how fast this issues got resolved by host. It is a place i'd love to come back again. Take repelents with you, you gonna need them! Note: it is a mountaint so get ready for narrow roads with sudden turns.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969I would rate this property more than 5 stars if that was possible. It was clean, tidy and the owner (Jesus) could not have been more helpful in making us feel at home. Even though we arrived late, Jesus took the time to show us around his villa, taking time to explain everything in detail and ensuring our children were engaged in the conversation (especially with the pets including the tortoise!). The villa was clean, tidy and spacious. It is worth saying that the photos do not really reflect the actual size of the villa or the space. The inside can comfortably manage 8 people, with large rooms and a large open plan living room / dining area. The outside it equally as big, with a large garden that is not overlooked and provides great privacy. The pool is clean with an outside shower. There is a BBQ area and an area to eat outside within mosquito nets. Throughout the stay, Jesus made us feel welcome in is house. He was contactable when things went wrong (a small water leak in the garden), without being intrusive. The balance was perfect and appreciated, including the bottles of wine that he left for us! The villa is located around 20 minutes for Sitges in the mountains of Olivetta, Its slightly cooler that high up, but you do miss the sea breeze. Its a 40 minute drive to Barcelona and around an hour to Portaventura. Sitges is a wonderful place, nice beaches and friendly people. A real good atmosphere. There are some great places to eat, and Jesus took the time to give us some suggestions. The weather was fantastic, most days it was around 33 deg C and 20 deg C at night. The villa is equipped with A/C in the main bedroom and downstairs, so its more that comfortable. There are a number of fans in the other rooms, and if you close the blinds during the day, this is enough to keep cool at night. The only negative (and nothing to do with the villa) is the mosquitoes in Spain. Please make sure that you take spray / creams on your visit as they do bite, The villa has nets on all the windows, but when you are outside, there is a real risk you will be bitten. We honestly cannot describe the wonderful time we had here. For two weeks were we made to feel at home and comfortable, knowing that there was help on offer if we needed it. Jesus is a genuine, nice friendly person. This villa is highly recommended and I hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969The property was clean and well kept. Approx a 40 minute drive from Barcelona. The owner was excellent, Jess met us showed us around his property ensuring we knew where everything was and how things worked. We have 2 young children who loved the animals and the pool, on arrival we had 2 hungry children and Jess helped us out by letting us use his food. There was also a couple of bottles of Cava ?! The pool is fenced with a locked gate so was extremely safe. The only negative for us as a family was it was very, hot when we went (which was great) but there is no air con in the rooms the children slept in and it took a good few nights for them to get used to the heat(there are fans) Other than that a great villa, 15 mins from Sitges, which has a fantastic beach, shops and restaurant. The supermarket is approx a 10 min drive and has everything you need. Close to the villa is another larg, public, outside pool which our children loved. A superb owner and host, who was friendly and helpful. We would stay at this villa again and this part of Spain.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Where do I start? We arrived late at night, yet we were warmly welcomed and shown around the property. A well stocked fruit dish with fresh produce was ready for us, not to mention the melons and grapes in the fridge. The accommodation was very clean and equipped - from the kitchen utilities to the toys for children. during our stay there was a ban on bbq's due the fire risk, so we had to use the kitchen more than anticipated. The salon and master room have a/c but the rest of the property get nice and warm. The owner is extremely helpful. He was constantly available to answer questions via email, and popped in once during our 10 day stay to filter the pool and refill the drinking water for the pets - however he respected our privacy by not entering the house without asking us first. We visited as 2 adults and 6 children and we all had a great time. A little piece of advice though: the tiger mosquitoes seem to be after British blood! it is worth investing in decent repellent. The owner advised us what to buy and it worked well. Enjoy your stay in Olivella!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We had a wonderful time at Jess's home just outside Sitges. A wonderful welcome from a great host and a fabulous fresh fruit and wine welcome pack and a grand tour of the house. With two families (4 adults and 4 children and a baby) there was ample room for us all. The children loved the pool and there was ample seating outside to observe the children at the pool and another area at the rear for BBQ and dining. The house has everything you could need from dishwasher, washing machine, coffee machine, toys for the children to play with, everything you need to cook for a big gang! The house was perfectly set out for our needs, towels, shower gels, washing powders etc provided, we just replaced what we used. The kids loved the turtle, rabbits and the hens - little or no looking after but great entertainment for the children. Sitges is a lovely beach resort with some lovely unique shops and small streets to browse at your leisure. It's only 10 minutes away from the villa and worth spending some time there - the beaches are lovely. I would recommend a car though, the house is not walking distance from shops etc but with a car we were fine (as long as we remembered how to get back there!). Thanks Jess and family - myself and my family and my sister and hers had a fabulous week enjoying your great house and exploring the surroundings. I would recommend this house readily - but make sure your have hired a car!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Just wanted to say a big thank you to owner...Jes...for providing the location for a great holiday. We stayed at this villa for a week, and it is beautifully presented, inside and out. Jes was superb to deal with through the booking process, good contact all along, plus he arranged the accommodation in the villa to suit our specific needs. He also greeted us warmly with a lovely welcome pack of wine/fruit/milk etc and talked us through use of villa facilities inside and out. All the basic toiletries and cleaning stuff are also provided. Outside the villa is perfect for families with children: secure garden area, fenced-off pool area (very clean pool, with outdoor shower). There is also a trampoline in the garden, as well as books/games for the kids indoors. There is a lovely terrace area just beside the pool and another with built-in BBQ to rear of the house. There is also parking for at least two cars in the garden area. Inside the house is well equipped, guests have full use of dishwasher, freezer, washing machine, pod coffee machine etc. I would recommend this villa for groups of all ages. Although there is good public transport in the area, I would advise hiring a car to get about/get groceries as the villa is situated in a hillside location in a residential area. Sitges/Barcelona/Tarragona are all within easy driving distance. Sitges is a very pretty seaside resort with plenty of beaches for everyone. We stayed while the Fiesta Mayor was on, lots of entertainment and Catalan culture, and there was a fabulous fireworks display on the Friday night - definitely worth seeing! Lots of nice places to eat in Sitges, particularly pretty at the Port d'Aigualdoc (can recommend Restaurant Laury and the cocktail bar) away from the main hustle-bustle of the town, plus there is a nice family beach and carparking close by. Villa is located in the Penedes area of Cataluna, so lots of local reasonably priced cava, and good local wines too. All-in-all a lovely villa for a relaxed holiday....with good food & drink...just bring your own company!
