Sweet Escape is 3 miles to Wrightsville Beach & 8 miles to Downtown Riverfront~

The property was great! I wish that the window in the front room had a curtain or blinds or shade.

Very nice comfy cozy place lots of space perfect for families and pets. Had absolutely everything you would need for a home away from home. Convenient to everything on a very safe quiet street. All the beds were comfy and the backyard was so pleasant to have dinner and let the kids play. Hope to be back!

The home was great. My only concern was the fenced area because my dog could have escaped in a few areas where the fence was low and there's a planter box that my dog could have easily jumped the fence.

Host was welcoming and the property, especially the yard, was a lovely for a short getaway. The bed was immensely comfortable!

This property is in a great location, close to shopping, Wrightsville Beach, and all of the major roadways. Heather was a awesome host and made us feel at home over the holidays with some Christmas decor.

This has been one of my favorite stays!! The home was sweetly decorated for Christmas, which was just the best surprise and is not something we have experienced as frequent holiday travelers. The home is very well taken care of and very clean. The fenced in yard is perfect especially with the warm December days! The proximity to the beach and shopping you really can’t beat!

Enjoyed our visit! Toiletries ( shampoo, conditioner and body wash) were available. The KITCHEN. is stocked with cookware and spices, and the house spacious! Heather (Host) was available if anything was needed. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

This VRBO is in an excellent location, especially if you're planning on going to Wrightsville beach. We dove to Wrightsville beach in under 10 minutes, and there are so many shopping centers and amenities nearby. The place was clean and exceptionally dog friendly. The beds are very comfortable as well. Thank you for making our stay so easy and enjoyable!

Property was exactly as listed and was in a great location. Owners were very communicative and would definitely stay there again if I come back to Wilmington.

Communication with owner was excellent. House was clean however, it smelled musty. It is an older house and the smell of must got on our clothes and actually once I left it was in my hair. We had a wedding to attend and the location was awesome…. 3 mins from everything and with traffic maybe 10mins. The outside patio was great. It is fenced in, but I couldn’t tell behind the trees in the back if there was anyway possible my small dog could get out… So, I was fearful of my dog getting out of the backyard. It was a very quite neighborhood and we did enjoy our stay..

A lovely and quiet neighborhood. The house was as promised and the beds were very comfy. The backyard was awesome to hang out in with a glass of wine and watch the hummingbirds. If you’re looking for a chill place with easy access to the main roads, I highly recommend booking this place.

Sweet escape was such a perfect place to host family visiting. The home is very clean and complete with fabulous linens and all the comforts for a relaxing stay. The garden is delightful. We loved the 2 living room layout for different spaces to visit or read. Highly recommend! The location is in a quiet neighborhood situated perfectly to all of the conveniences of Mayfaire, Landfall and the beach and main roads but tucked away from the hustle. Check-in was smooth and communication with Heather was prompt and friendly. Would definitely stay there again!

Our stay was excellent. Easy drive to everything we wanted to do both in town and at the beach. Spacious and the outside setup was delightful.

Wonderful house in a great location! The house was the perfect size for my family of four. We enjoyed the nice back yard and all the beautiful flowers. The house is less than 10 mins to Wrightsville Beach and no more than 15 mins to downtown Wilmington. We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming again!

My family had the best time. The place has everything you could want. The beds were all comfortable and the water pressure was wonderful. The fenced in yard was perfect for our little dog. We would definitely stay there again.

Stayed for a family wedding, mother's day celebration and a golf tournament. This house is just great. The backyard is amazing. All of us, dogs included, love hanging out back there. The house is well appointed and communication was simple, effective and easy. I would recommend this house for those that travel with their fur babies.

Our family had a fantastic time in this beautiful, cozy home! It was so nice to be just a few minutes’ drive from the beach, shopping, and anything else we needed. The backyard garden is a perfect place to sit in solitude with a cup of coffee early in the morning. We are already talking about planning our next stay!

We had a lovely and relaxing stay at this property. The photos did not truly show the beauty of the property. The patio and rose bushes are stunning. I enjoyed coffee on the patio every morning and we ate dinnner on the patio most evenings. Little things made this stay special. There were plenty of towels and wash clothes as well as blankets and pillows. The neighborhood was quiet yet close to places to eat or even have food delivered. Heather was an attentive host. This home met all of our needs. It was well stocked. We really enjoyed the backyard. When we accidentally locked ourselves out of the house, help was there in minutes to get us in. The home is centrally located and just a quick drive to Wilmington and Wrightsville Beach.

Clean a well equipped. Fenced back yard perfect for our dog. 15 min drive to Wrightsville Beach. Nice quiet neighborhood for families. Close to groceries, drug stores etc.

The house was just what we needed for a short beach vacation, short drive to beach, medium drive to downtown but having the fenced back yard is a life saver when you have 3 dogs, it’s also nice that there wasn’t a 2 dog limit that so many other places have…we will for sure rent here again next time we are in Wilmington!!

This house is exactly as advertised and then some. It is in a great location and I cannot say enough about how much my two dogs (pug and lab mix) loved the backyard. I was also there during the epic snow storm that hit Wilmington and the host and owners were on top of it and went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed despite the unexpected winter weather and being snowed in! Will definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone!

We loved this place. It was very cozy and the Christmas tree and decor made it extra special for us. We had everything we needed and would definitely love to stay in this home again! I didn’t want to leave.

The property is in a good location with easy access to Mayfaire shopping and Wrightsville Beach. The neighborhood was quiet. It’s an older home but very clean and has everything you need. The fenced in yard is a very nice feature if you have a dog. The fence is about waist high so you will likely need to supervise your pet while they are outside.

Oh my goodness, this was the perfect house for our visit to Wilmington! It was just as described, though the pictures don't do it justice. It had a quaint beach cottage feel, and we enjoyed sitting in the back courtyard in the evenings. This home is nestled in a quiet neighborhood, close to the beach, shopping, restaurants, and downtown! Heather was the perfect host! She quickly responded to our inquiries, and was always very pleasant. We will definitely stay again!

We had a wonderful time in this home away from home. They thought of everything to keep everyone comfortable (extra blankets, lots of towels, kids dishes, even great quality paper towels/toilet paper!). It’s the perfect location, close to everything, quiet area annd comfortable beds! owners are very responsive and helpful. We are already looking forward to a stay in 2025! Our family stayed at this place for 3 nights during September. It was very clean, beds were comfortable and the neighborhood was very safe and nice. There was a nice trail to walk our dog and the location was close to a beautiful shopping center and the beach. Our family stated that they would definitely stay there again.

We needed a pet friendly house close to our son’s apartment. This house was perfect! Back yard was fenced in and pretty decor throughout. Pillows were really comfy! Host was very prompt to answering questions. Only minor issue was large dogs next door barked every time we were outside. Thank you for a great stay we will be back!

This is our 2nd year staying here. We love the properties’ amenities, cleanliness, and location. The host is very responsive. I locked us out of the house on a hot summer day with groceries in the car. The owner, who lives close by, was there in minutes to unlock the door.

Third stay in this wonderful home with my two small pups. Will definitely return. Kitchen well equipped and pristine. Living areas and bedrooms nicely appointed and very very clean (same for bathroom) Located in quiet residential neighborhood. Beautiful patio and lights exactly as pictured.
